I'll be withholding judgement until the appeal plays itself out, although the story does seem a bit half-baked. (Pun intended.) Either way, half a season for a brownie is a joke.
 
Half a season is punitive. But you gotta admit he scored extremely low on IQ test.

Will be interesting to see if he graduates. Will speak volumes.

Whatever man. UM is a negative publicity machine. Maybe the world isn't out to get UM, and the shit that people are getting in trouble for really DID happen! Weird I know....
 
I don't know much, but I know this.....if JR really was given a laced brownie and he truly did not know and it costs him half of his senior year.....then someone is in line for a serious ass whuppin'.

I love how much Cat fans care! Their program is in shambles, haven't won anything of note in 30 years, can't even get an AD who wants to be there (not surprising), and they take timeout from molesting collies to post about someone eating a brownie like seven months ago. Pretty hilarious! The envy is super strong with this one.

See if he graduates? Because he inadvertently ate a pot brownie means he wont graduate? He will definitely be graduating.
 
I've posted this on the other Nelson thread but wanted to put it here as well. Can anyone explain this....

A half-season suspension for a pot brownie, intentional or not, seems rather excessive. Someone help me out wit this....Illinois St star running back Marahaun Coprich was busted for selling drugs to an undercover cop last year. Selling drugs! I don't think he got a suspension from the NCAA or his coach. In what universe does it make sense that a kid selling drugs gets in no trouble but a kid who has his first offense over some pot is done for half the season. Does the NCAA not see how troubling that is!

The NCAA is a corrupt organization that doesn't care about their athletes. I can't explain why some athletes can get arrest and get a slap on the wrist but someone with a first time offense gets suspended for half the season for a pot brownie... hopefully the appeal will uphold and the NCAA will realize they are being ridiculous... but like I said, they don't care about their athletes.

I guess you guys never listened to a word that "Tark" said for damn near thirty years.....
 
Personally I believe it is very possible JR had not clue. Why would he even consider eating a pot brownie the night before the biggest game of his life. He had no prior, no record of ever doing this before and probably had been tested before. Could be he had no idea what it was suppose to taste like and whoofed it down in one/two bites. None of us know for sure but bottom line it is possible he had not idea.
 
i will be forever great-full that Bob Stitt & Co. stepped in and made MT football count for something.

Their program is in no more shambles than ours was recently, and we haven't won anything of note ourselves in 15 years. The 2nd AD on paper actually looks better than the first, which is bad for us.
