The Conference for the most part has caught up with you.

I would say that the Griz have dropped back to the competition.

If you believe that, then you have not paid attention to the rest of the conference.

How exactly has the Conference done in the grand scheme of FCS football since, how you want to put it, the Conference has caught up with the Griz? Outside of a season for EWU, nada. The Conference hasn't gotten better, the Griz have fallen back and for the most part, hasn't done anything since there has been no really good teams.

Depends if you want to admit it or not, the entire FCS has gotten better in the last 10 years. Teams have always moved up and other teams have taken their place. NDSU would beat or compete with any of the past GSU team's, YSU teams and all the other teams that won or competed for the NC in our division. FCS is not watered down. Teams move up and others take their place. NDSU, SDSU, UND and others have actually helped FCS. Can you argue that Troy, LA Tech, Texas State, Western Kentucky and a bunch for others have left a "void " In FCS? Granted we all miss App State and Georgia Southern. NDSU would compete and beat their best teams and so would the best Big Sky team today.

I know one team that hasn't caught up, and not just during this so-called "rebuilding year" that every one of their fans so boldly predicted at the beginning of the season. That team has LOT of catching up to do.

You realize, Grizzoola, that sometimes those passes into the flat are 3rd options, right? You also realize that our outside receivers are not getting open, right? You also realize that in the NFL the speed of the defense is more likely to blow the flat patterns up, right?

Hey your Cowboys took down #13 BSU, you should be in much better spirits dude! :thumb:

Finally, I can agree with HHB.

Which is a relief since he posts so much and is often the super annoying contrarian ala grizindabox and his misplaced elipses. :D

If you can't see that UM has regressed, as well as the conference improving on the whole, you're not objective. Which, obviously, "Canyoncat" is not.

A season? I guess you missed the other years we made deep runs in the playoffs since then.

How many chippers have they been in? And I used chippers just because.

Ok, if that's the metric you want to use, then fair enough. Stating that the rest of the conference has done nothing is a bit of an exaggeration, IMO.

We dinked and dunked for a lot of yards but not so many TDs - and stopped almost nothing. But a very positive trend was maintained. Our streak of three straight games with two missed XP kicks was broken last week. In the last two games we have missed only one. So our average over the last 5 games now is only 1.6 missed per game. Coach seems satisfied; no changes.

Griz should go for 2 after every touchdown. If they convert half the time it's like going 100% on kicks. Semenza almost missed the kick on the first TD as well.

Not really. Who outside of Montana and EWU have had much success at all in the playoffs?

Like everyone else that has played EWU, we couldn't stop their receivers. Thank God for graduations. Also, Gage will be winning the WP award this year. Two more years with that sonfbitch.

Today, Gage was not very effective in the first qtr when the Griz were getting pressure. Once EWU's O line figured things out, Gage became a very good QB. Just sayin'.

To suggest that others have caught the GRIZ at the height of the program is just silly. Over a 15 year period, the GRIZ averaged a championship appearance every other year. It's clear that UM has regressed.

Not that I think it really matters either way.

To tell you the truth I get kind of tired listening to all this crap about Stitt being a bad coach and such. When I look at our receivers.... are they are good but not great. EWU have three that are really good, one that is great. Looking at the QB's we have a good throwing QB but the run option for our offense is not there. Did you seen how the OB run helped EWU, several times, he even caught a pass for a big gain. Not happening for the Griz. Was I disappointed we lost? Yep. You all need to get over it. We will win out our last three games and then we will see what happens.

Good nite.

The past several years EWU has consistently:
1- Out Recruited
2 - Out Prepared
3 - Out Executed
And as long a Beau Baldwin is the HC they will continue to do so!
He just out X & O's you offensively. If they every develop a Defense to go with that Offense (NDSU 2.0)

Hence, the 57-16 lose to the Griz last year. Makes total sense.

Thank God VA was a Duck & the Griz had better talent across the board. That same QB who threw up on himself vs our Griz last year looked pretty damn solid today. I am looking at the complete body of work that has been consistent at EWU over the past 8 or so seasons. With LESSER resources mind you. BTW 2 more system programs lost games today & are no longer undefeated.

We get out schemed far to regularly for my taste. Nice try Grandpa Haslam!
