The real issue with Hauck isn't player misbehavior...

A little strange you can't spell the name of your coach.

Oops, you caught him there. I figured he was lying.

Buddy, I can't help that I'm not great speller, or that you're a Hauck sycophant. Some things just are how they're meant to be.

See my prior post/edit catching you in your lie about being a UM football player, Sac St, 2 tackles, Homecoming.

Excellent post

I assume you're talking about post exposing lie about being a former UM football player.

The part I like about this is that you're so insecure in your argument, you think that me being a bad UM football player somehow offers me juuuuuust enough credibility with other posters (and deflates your belief I knew nothing about the program) that you're desperate to believe it's not true.

You can believe whatever you like. I took a considerable beating on a daily basis from Matt Kempfert, Mike Agee and Jeff Zellick. I sat my ass on the sidelines in those games and never came close to seeing meaningful action, but you can bet your ass I was there.

To assume BH would run the show the exact same way he did is to suggest that he hasn’t grown through experience and that the University hasn’t grown in the way student athletes are guided. I mean I guess everything that wasn’t perfect then might still remain an issue 8 years later, but doubt it.

New account. Agenda driven, innacurrate spin. Likely a journalist whom Bobby refused to exalt. Just a guess, but did your mom crap in a box once and mail it to you the day your girlfriend broke up with you? That would explain a lot.

He said he played only 2 years, for those 2 coaches. So, he would have played in 1995 and 1996.

"Two career tackles. Mostly 3rd string. Did tackle a Sac State running back for a 2-yard loss on Homecoming. Believe we were up 52-10 or something when I got in."

UM played Sac St only in 1996. 35-17 victory. And it was a road game, so not UM's homecoming game. He said he got his only 2 career tackles. The only player getting 2 tackles in that game was Greg Fitzgerald, a junior who had many tackles in his career. Of the 7 players having 3 or 1 tackle in the game, all had multiple tackles in other games, and I think only one was a sophomore. See below link.

I think Yossarian's story is crumbling. Ya, why would anyone lie? Because he's a former Kaimin reporter, perhaps, masquerading as someone else?

Obviously someone connected to the Kaimin, just based on how he is defended them, and the reporters. He might even be one of the two that Hauck had the confrontation with. I long ago forgot their names, and few would remember who they were, let alone where they are.

There are pieces of your story that don't add up though. You say you played for both Read and for Dennehy right? You played 2 years, right? You played in the Sac game where the Griz won 52-10, right?

That game was in 1997.

You would have had to be with the Griz for 3 years, not 2 in order to have played for Read as well as Dennehy & played in that Sac game.

Also, Matt Kempfert was the basketball player. Dave Kempfert was the OLineman you took beatings from (who was a Senior your redshirt year).

Not saying your lying, just pointing out there are some things you might want to clear up about how you could have played in the 1997 Sac game, been with the Griz for only 2 years, and also played under Read.

I laughed so hard, I spit my coffee out. And I drank it this morning.

That is correct. Confused Matt and Dave. Must be the beatings.

And I didn't say I played for Read. He did recruit me though. He was the coach when I committed to the Griz. Absolutely consider him my coach. Love the man.

Look you guys can figure it out, and I'm sure you will, and if you want to attack me, that's fine. I'm who I say I am. I care deeply about this program. I'm emotionally invested in its success. I don't think Hauck should return as coach, but if he's a good coach and he's learned from everything, I'll support him.

It likely checks out:

We did beat Sac St. on Homecoming 52-10 in 1997.
There was one person who had one tackle, for a loss of three.
That person had 45 career tackles, however, and played 1996-1999.
The other clickable players with one tackle (not for loss) all had more than 2 career tackles.
One guy, however, had one tackle (not for loss) in that game, but you can't click his name.
He also had one tackle against ISU that year.
I can't find any more tackles for him.
Of course, he would have had to play for more than two years . . .
I'll let you guys click the link and figure it out from there.

Correct. It’s not hard to figure out. Which is why this is so discouraging. You are a journalist who has a personal bias with the Kaimin and Bobby and you write a spin hit, and I’m guessing a lot more than just this. This is why we don’t trust the news anymore. You are a nationally known figure who taught for a bit in the journalism department for God’s sake. Expect better of yourself. I know you’re better than this. Right or wrong, I hold you to a higher standard than a normal egriz poster.

Yep. Major fail. Feels and sounds like a permaband.

This is the most transparent sh*t I've seen on here in awhile, and that's saying a lot. If you believe this is a brand new eGriz poster, re-evaluate. Not that I even necessarily disagree, but it's just a silly ruse.

Cool name though. Makes you sound like a film history buff. Heroic, even.

See, this is silly. I'm a UM alum and I have a stake in this success of OUR program, regardless of what I did with my career after I left and after I stopped playing. I lose the right to have an opinion of who our coach should be because I'm not a lawyer or businessman?

Are we all posting under our real names now? Let me know.

You can now judge my biases for what they are. Everyone else's can continue in the dark, I guess.

I was a bad college football player. Two career tackles. Mostly 3rd String. Did tackle a Sac State running back for a 2-yard loss on Homecoming. Believe we were up 52-10 or something when I got in. That was about the highlight of my career. If I was going to lie about something, at least I'd make myself a better player.

Nope. Much easier to be an anonymous “3rd stringer”...those guys are a dime a dozen over the past 25 years...too many to count. You start becoming a “better player” and it’s easier to narrow down a) if you’re lying and b) if not, who you are.
