The Rainey family….

Kudos to them for asking. It's the job and people want to know. Bobby looks like a ass how he has handled all of it. Haslam should do his job also and not tiptoe around it there are numerous donors not happy how it is going down and Haslam needs to put on his man pants and tell Bobby to grow up.
So how is it going down? Is it all under Coach Haucks control?
Tell us the whole 37 story!

Okay, here’s an idea for a way to resolve the “#37 issue:” Go negative.

“Award” the number to the player who’s been dogging it the most during practice. Showing up late. Not hustling. Totally in the doghouse and likely to get cut if he doesn’t shape up quick.

As every football coach knows, there’s nothing like negative reinforcement to get a player’s head turned around quick. Have 23,000 fans jeer the kid every week. Catcalls. Slurs. Total and complete disrespect. Humiliate the kid in person and in the newspaper.

Whaddya say, hey?

The donors will have plenty of info …oh and btw… you know what brings in donors? Winning. That’s all Bobby cares about right now. Also don’t ask stupid questions. Everyone knows if Bobby wanted to talk about it…he would. He already said that he didn’t have a comment about it weeks ago. If it still hasn’t been announced and obviously it’s for a reason then you know he’s not going to answer the question. Shaun was trying to get a reaction by asking it and he got one.

It’s Shaun’s job to ask the question. It’s BH’s job to tell him to FO. It happens at every press conference in America. No one takes it personally, because they’re professionals. Well, except that bobcat guy who lasted like 6 hours.

Just like the injury report, HIPA law says that's privileged information and team and NCAA rule not to comment. Yet reporters still have to ask that question, not smart if asking Bobby and I don't blame him.
Have you ever watched a Nic Saben press conference, about the same. There is only so many ways you can ask the same question before a coach gets pissed.

Well that is a very creative interpretation! Who knew the “number 37 issue” involved confidential health information?

Who gives a shit? His job is to coach a football team not tell journalists every little detail about it. Put yourself in his shoes, every day getting asked some dumbass shit from your every day people, the donors, and the journalists. Man and they for real, ask some dumb shit. Worry about something more important.

Exactly! People can say what they want about Bobby, but he sure as hell knows exactly how to motivate his players. Welnell got the #37 jersey, Bobby stepped in and said "Not on my watch, will a player get this jersey when he's slacking in practice...." and presto - problem solved. This isn't rocket science.

You are so wrong about the true situation on so many levels

Well I heard if from two sources and to be honest, it paints Bobby in a heluva lot better light than the other reasoning I heard, that he intercepted it because he thought his boy deserved it. What other possible reason could there be, that doesn't make Bobby look like a complete control freak on a power trip? Colter and his brother summed it up best when the reminded everyone that the 37 tradition is and always has been purely a think between players, no coaches involved.

A source that knows a hell of a lot more about the situation than 99% of egriz people. And one that shares info via private messages to avoid douches that question what I do and don't know.

It's my understanding that the coaches have had some involvement with the pass-down decision a time or two in the past. It has not purely been a player decision at all times.
