“ Offensive lineman Omar Aigbedion signed with Baylor, linebacker Jace Fitzgerald joined hometown Montana Western, OL Jacob Kettels transferred to Kennesaw State, OL Rush Reimer transferred to Cal and defensive lineman Sebastian Valdez signed with Washington.”

If anyone gets curious about portal moves, On3 is a good resource. It will be on social media first, but that is a good aggregator. If there is another one, I'd love to know about it.

I love the Dr Pepper Fansville portrayal of the portal. That’s how I think of it. FBS programs with a giant vacuum, sucking up the talent from FCS.

IMO there should be only one portal period (at the end of the school year in May). And only one portal trip allowed unless your head coach departs.

Wasn't it originally supposed to be limited to one transfer unless the athlete was granted a waiver for extenuating circumstances? It's obvious the NCAA isn't even trying to police this anymore and it's become a giant free-for-all.

Recently, a judge overruled that.
At that point, it became unlimited transfers, without penalty.

The case was brought by several state attorney generals and players. RaeQuan Battle of West Virginia and formerly Mont. St. was the main and highest profile plaintiff. He had had his waiver turned down twice, and had applied/appealed one more time. The West Va. judge granted a TRO, which affected a handful of players. A few days later, the plaintiffs and ncaa agreed to allow the judge to enter a preliminary injunction. The ncaa then said that it wouldn't enforce the rule for anyone this year. The case isn't necessarily done. I was not a lawyer in the case, but I was involved at hammering at the ncaa on behalf of Battle. I was in contact with a senior VP at the ncaa. I furnished several letters on behalf of Battle from friends of mine who are former Native American athletes from reservations. I was in contact with Battle's West VA lawyer. Battle scored 29, 29 24 and 4 points in his first 4 games playing.
