God the Lakers are the worst team in the league. Lets take a look back at 07-08

-57 wins in the tightest conference race EVER, wow shitty.
-1 rape of the Memphis Grizzlies to get a consisant double double and All Star in Pau Gasol. I want Kwame and Crit back!
-2 games away from being NBA champions. I wish we would of lost in the first round to the Suns again, that was a always a good time.
-Kobe wins MVP

What a horrible year for the Lakers franchise.

Now if you will... something a little tasteless:

Losing to the Celtics is a lot like having sex with Kobe Bryant. You can kick, scream, and say NO all you want, but it's going to happen.

Its going to happen? The C's were an embarrassment to Boston sports after the Bird era and now they win one title and all of a sudden they are the once again the best franchise in world! Please.....

Knock them if you will... they've had a rough 20 years. Their number 2 pick in the first round decides to be a retard and snort coke... dies. He was supposed to ease an ailing Bird his last few years in the NBA by easing his minutes on the court. Then there was Reggie Lewis... becoming a superstar in his own right and all of the sudden drops and dies in a pickup game.

And lest we forgot some of the oddest Coaching and managerial moves... WTF?

I'm glad Pierce stuck it out with the Celtics and got a ring. I too admire Kobe for sticking with the Lakers though he's already earned his rings.

Bottom line... the Celtics were a team this year and the one on one "look at what I can do cuz' I'm a star" BS wasn't a part of that team. The Lakers were the same way... the two best teams in the NBA played each other and the best team won.

I know basketball so save the history lesson. The C's had their chances in the past as long with their misfortune.

The Celtics were suppose to win the NBA finals this year, anything less would have been a terrible disapointment while the Lakers were picked to lose in the first round for a third straight year after another mediocre regular season.

Maybe not NBA champions in 08, but took one of the biggest steps in becoming one!

Kobe is probably the Greatest Player in the world today. If the Olympics had a one-on-one tourney, he would win the Gold medal with ease. Unfortunately, he is one of the most selfish players I have ever seen and doesn't make players around him better...thus, the best TEAM won the title-

Your basing Kobe's all around ability to play the game of basketball on one series? I never said the Celtics werent a better team because clearly they were two or three times better than the Lakers. What you must understand is that Im a Laker fan before a Kobe fan so I tend to blame this series on the whole team, Kobe did all he could against that defense. Kobe makes his team better when the second he checks in, to the second he checks out and anybody who tries to argue are just plain ignorant.

I am not a big Kobe fan, but I can't argue with you there. Kobe IS a great player. If he wasn't he wouldn't get bashed like he does by the haters (like myself).

I am glad PP got the finals MVP and even more so, a title. I'm glad the Celts stuck with him and he with the Celtics. Sadly, the same will probably be said of Kobe with the Lakers within the next couple of years, but then again there is the Lebron James factor... it's not like he's going to get worse.

I think the NBA was more interesting this year than the past five. Part of it is because my team did so well, but also because there were some real battles during the playoffs.
