The NDSU message board

One thing I've noticed over the years is that when you are dominant and winning consistently, the smack is based on fact and when you aren't it's pretty much BS. The former applies to UM a few years back and now to NDSU. Losers do not like to hear those facts. The latter, of course, applies to MSU over the last 30 years.

Sounds like eGriz. I know of individuals that won't even touch eGriz because of the behavior of many of our "fans". We have posters that have created fake personas simply for attention, we have bandwagon fans who do nothing but live in the past - and snivel about the present, we have the 30-40 somethings who post like they're 12 years olds on a playground. And of course we have the ego-maniacs who believe its all about them.

However there are a good deal of real fans here, that you get to know and respect - that put up with all the others - simply because they are REAL Griz Fans! Go Griz!!

You forgot the holier-than-thou group who feel the need to judge everybody else as inferior fans/posters if their posting styles don't exactly match their own.

Well I just read their thread. Actually they have a significant number of posters in their Griz thread that are actually giving props to the Griz and our traditions. Take out 3-4 posters (of which one is ours playing both sides of the deck - AG) and its not that bad of reading, just a rabid fan base like ours.

1. Dumb question because as a Griz fan I should know the answer, but is this game the first of a home and home with NDSU, or a one time deal??

2. As to any Cat fans saying anything negative about this game, AT LEAST WE DIDN'T BACK OUT!!!!


3. The Griz might get crushed, but they also may do something incredible. I am a realist and the crowd noise may indeed bother the Griz, as the loudest place they have played in the last few years was in Bozeman. If JJ throws it like he can, and we stay out of alot of negative plays on first and second down we will be in the game, hopefully our coaches have been hiding alot of things in the first 3 games. No more 5 wide screen to Ellis when it is 3rd and 10, throw it down the field.
 
I mean, we were in Knoxville a few years ago for JJ's first career start, 100,000 SEC rabids is pretty loud

But yes, it is a home-and-home

Thank you for recognizing the humor in my post and not going postal on me. I'm sure I represent one (or more) of the groups you mentioned....depends on the day. :oops:
 
All right fellas. take a breather.
Sorry I started the 28-20 score thing. Looks like I got everyone riled up.
I will get real boring and factual for both sides and some posters did already say this:
Turnovers and special team play wins this game.

Low Score doesn't bother us either 14 - 10 or 31-28 it doesn't matter I want to see our team (Bison) be forced to go 4 full qtrs and see what they are made of. Its all good for the fans.

Good quality football on both sides to the last minute.

Remember AZ GRiz guy we do have a bet. I will check back with you after the game.

Ok - have a safe trip to Fargo if your going see what you think of our Thundar Dome.

I think NDSU's DL vs UM's OL will be the matchup to watch, and probably the biggest mismatch on the field.

OL - NDSU, but neither is stellar.
QB - likely NDSU based on what i've heard about JJ thusfar this year. A wash or lean grizz if JJ comes to play.
RB - different styles, both outstanding units, but Crocket is on a different level.
WR - possibly griz, but NDSU has a lot of options and Vraa is as good as anyone.
DL - Wash
LB - might lean NDSU here, but not by much.
DB - NDSU
coaching - NDSU

I'm going with 31-14 NDSU as the grizz OL struggles and NDSU puts it away in the forth.
