PSU wins 70-63 is EWU is up 70-66 with 3:30 to play. Its way too close to say EWU wins, but if they do the conference would look like so:

Weber St - 11-4
NAU - 9-5
Montana - 9-6
MSU - 8-6
PSU - 9-7
ISU - 7-7
EWU - 8-8
Sac 4-11
NCU 2-13

Now looking ahead:

Weber - Appears to have it locked up, they hold the tie-breaker over NAU. Last game is at Sac, win or lose, they host.

NAU - travels to MSU tomorrow, that's the big game, NAU wins it and they have the bye in the 1st round almost in hand (final game is against NCU). Griz fans need to (ugh) cheer for the Cats tomorrow.

UM - Final game is at ISU, the crowd will be in force and will be especially looking to jeer Dlouhy. With help from MSU or NCU they could still grab a bye, I think. Otherwise they'll host the 1st round game with a win. They could still host a game with a loss but would need some other teams to lose as well.

MSU - Two tough tests to finish, hosting NAU and then @ ISU. If they win both and UM and NAU lose out then the cats can get the bye. UM holds the tie breaker over them. They have the advantage of playing ISU the day after the Griz play them and the possibility that ISU might be a little worn down.

PSU is done, and based upon their record at 9-7 they're in, they'll probably have to travel in the 1st round.

ISU hosts Montana and Montana St, and back-to-back. Montana on Monday night and Montana St on Tuesday night. If they win these they're in for sure, a loss to either would put them on the bubble and two losses keeps them out of the conference.

EWU is playing their last game, with a win they're at 8-8 and hoping that ISU loses one if not both games. If they lose tonight they're out for sure...I think.

Here's how I think it will shake out:

1. Weber St - bye
2. NAU - bye

3. UM vs 6. EWU
4. MSU vs 5. PSU

I'm trying to keep an eye on the EWU game, b/c if Sac wins then I'm already wrong with my conference predictions...

NAU beating MSU tomorrow does not clinch the bye for NAU.

I have found instances where UM gets bye even if NAU beats MSU.

We would have to rely on UNC beating NAU is the problem, and, of course, Griz beating ISU.

Thats why I kind of presumed that NAU with a win tomorrow would just about (not totally) lock up the bye.

The good thing as well is the Griz win 2nite has locked them into the tourney. This next game will probably determine if they're at home or on the road (presuming NAU gets the bye) for the 1st round.

So if I'm reading EWU's box score correctly, they won the game 82-79 on a 3 pointer with 2 seconds to play. On an assist from Stuckey!

I listened to the EWU broadcast then would switch to the sac boradcast. It was funny because you would wonder if it was the same game at times. Sac could have won the game, but Baulsey did absolutely nothing, and got a T at a critical time on top of it.

Updated standings:

Weber St 11-4
NAU 10-5
Montana 9-6
PSU 9-7
MSU 8-7
ISU 7-7
EWU 8-8

Weber plays @ Sac tomorrow
UM plays @ ISU tomorrow
MSU plays @ ISU on tuesday
NCU plays @ NAU on tuesday

- Weber has hosting locked up, they hold the tie breaker over NAU.

- NAU needs to beat NCU for the bye. They will also get the bye if Montana loses to ISU.

- Montana will host a 1st round game if they beat ISU, I believe if NCU beats NAU then the Griz will get the bye. Montana holds the tie-breaker against MSU and is split against the rest. The Griz can finish anywhere from 5th to 2nd in the conference right now. A win tomorrow would put them at 3rd or 2nd.

- PSU is waiting for everything else to unravel. They're in but they're balancing on being the #4 or #5 spot depending on how MSU finishes.

- MSU losing today appears to have hurt EWU's chances from making it to the conference tourneys, both could finish 8-8 in the conference but MSU holds the tiebreaker over EWU. If the Cats beat ISU then they'll finish at 9-7 where they (I think) hold the tie-breaker over PSU but not Montana.

- ISU is in two must-win games, its that simple for them. Win both and they're in, lose both and they're out. If they split and finish 8-8 then MSU would hold the tie-breaker and EWU would also (I think).

- EWU needs ISU to lose at least one game, but I'm unsure on the tie-breaker with ISU. It would be best for EWU if ISU lost both games, then they're in for sure.

The only way that the Griz have to travel for a first round game is if Idaho State sweeps UM and MSU.

The only way MSU gets a home game is if UM & MSU sweep Idaho State, and UNC beats NAU.

Portland State is hosting a first round game, unless UNC beats NAU and UM & MSU sweep ISU.

The last playoff spot is between EWU & ISU. Every other team has clinched a playoff spot. If ISU beats MSU, they're in. If MSU beats ISU, EWU is in.

A little clarification on the EWU/ISU last spot tie-breaker...

If ISU beats UM and MSU beats ISU, the tiebreaker comes down to RPI. Currently ISU is at 172 while EWU is at 198.

The home loss to MSU might be enough to knock ISU below EWU.
