Great post Brint. These young men and their families have gone through a lot of turmoil. None of which they were responsible for. The bad news is they haven't played for championships. The good news is this experience will help them better deal with the challenges they will face in the game of life.

Hey BW---my curiosity overwhelms me who would be the head football coach who actually recruited the vast majority of these folks --it would be none other then RP!!!

Uh, yeah. He wasn't cut loose until AFTER the LOI date, so all of these guys were recruited by RP....
