The Griz would beat Gonzaga

I agree with CdaGriz. I have nothing but respect for the Zag program. What they've done is remarkable, and as he mentioned you have to respect the way they schedule. In fact the only part I don't agree with in his post is this:

I would root for them in every game except ones where the opponent's uniform says "Montana" or "Grizzlies" on the front.
 
I'm happy that the GRIZ, UW and Gonzaga all won yesterday. the east coast bias is like a wet blanket hanging over all programs in the west. In fact, count UCLA in that group too -- they were one of the high seeds that hammered an oppenent yesterday. I'd love to see the western teams keep winning in the tournament. Arizona is up at half over Wisconsin...I hope they blow them out.

Some quality wins will gain some respect for the west, but since we live 2 or 3 hours behind "civilization" we will always face that bias.

We're 2 to 3 hours behind? Alot of them 'back that way' are still stuck in 1864.
 
Good point....the "3 hours behind civilization" line came from Howard Cosell on MNF many years ago...it seems to be something of a mantra of many east coast sports writers..
 
I think the Griz could beat Gonzaga, and a lot of other teams could too. They are good, but way overrated.
 
That article is good, but why do race and political beliefs always have to come up in everything? A "free pass" on his antics because he's white? Hardly. Morrison gets anything but a free pass on his antics. Just look at all the people talking about it. Furthermore, if someone doesn't receive a "free pass" about his or her political beliefs, it's not really a "free" country, is it?
