The GRIZ Have a Long Way to Go

41 points so far is not an average of 3 points per game. In fact, your guy Stuber, whomever he is, agrees with me. That 3 number was the number I was calling BS on, and, of course, I was right. I don't even know what IPF is. My insiders at MSU were right on everything they told me last season. I haven't asked them anything this season.

I just googled IPF. This is what I got. "Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Illness". The first word applies to certain Cat posters.

Last season, I was right that the Griz would beat the Cats and would be favorites coming into the game. No one else said UM would be favorites. I was right when I said that Tim Hauck and the DC would design a D that would shut down the Cats' O. The Griz D did shut down the Cat O. I was right that the Griz would go deep in the playoffs and the Cats wouldn't. I was right that the Cats would lose to good teams in the conference later in the season. I was right that the Griz running backs were better and deeper than the Cats. I, and every Griz and some Cat fans, was right that Mellott wasn't a good passer. I was right that the Cats had the luxury of 2 good QB's who could run their offense well, but wouldn't be good if both QB's were out. I was right that the Cats peaked way too early in the season. I was right that the Cats didn't have a top defense. I was right that a bunch of Cat posters on egriz were
I believe I did..

In reality world not fantasy land : Fouch Walker Hill Edwards Gubner Cotton Flink/Janacaro would all be starting this over their replacements. Cooper/Hauck combo is not in the same class as a DC as Bradford.

I don't anyone is arguing that fact. We will keep winning and the current crop will improve each game.

“Where is the talent drop off?” Hoops a page ago

Nine weeks in so only 14 days are left before they better be closer in quality to those they replaced or the losses will start to mount. Last years defense could keep the good offenses from a walk in the park. Even against SDSU they held us in the game for a great stretch. Beating NC is not a sign of a good defense. Last year the Griz D held them under 100 yards total offense. Did you happen to watch what MSU did against them on defense? And MSU is not even close to the Dakota defenses ( all 3). The offense is better than last year but are not going to outshoot those top tier teams with their defenses. Can the Griz improve, yes but this wasn’t a reload it is a rebuild and people need to recognize they can’t flip a switch and be like last years. We can disagree but check back to this post in 6 weeks and we will see who knew what they were talking about.

I dunno looks like we held them to zero...and looks like the scats had a fair amount of starters playing when ncu scored..If Fife plays the same amount of time as Mellot did then I think the score would have been more lopsided..

Didn’t look like Fife was pulled to let backup AhYat get reps to me. It was 7-0 when AhYat threw the next score Game was not in hand when he took over and played until last play. It wasn’t like Fife built a good lead and stepped aside. I honestly could not figure out the QB roulette nor do I know (or if coaches even want know) who truly is QB1 and will get the true QB1 spot in two weeks against Davis or if both will continue to play “by feel” as Bobby said earlier in the year. I thought Fife had won the job going into bye week especially after Bobby praised his play in the NAU postgame presser. I’m not a fan of the rotating, too hard for them to get in rhythm and not play scared fearing getting yanked. It was also interesting Ostmo got first series and actually outgained Eli by 70 yards despite only one more carry. I wanted to see Fonoti/Huot get some reps too but they couldn’t put NC away early enough.

MSU gave up over 150 more yards and 21 points—AT HOME—to this same team and same QB. What was your point again?

Ah Yat is used in these two easy games so he stays with the program and is ready. Fife and Gilliam are being saved for when they're needed.
