The games to remember are played in November

Yet again, the griz are playing their best football of the year when it matters most. A little luck at isu coupled with the return of Brady has spurred another great November. It's fun to poke fun at the Bobcats for their annual November meltdown, but we've been truly spoiled at the performance of our griz during the 'home stretch' of the regular season.

Since 1995, the griz are 59-8 in regular season games played in the month of November.

I couldn't verify dates, but the griz also had winning Novembers in 94 &93...I wanted to find the last season where the griz finished below .500...just couldn't find that info.

point is this year's November, like all Novembers, are expected of our griz. The grizmas season starts when the calendar hits the eleventh month. 59-8 is not entrusted to the timid or the weak...(cats)

Go griz!

Honestly, if someone knows the last year the griz had a losing November ( regular season) I'd like to know that info

Looks like 1990. The Griz finished 7-4.

11-03-1990: Griz 27, Nevada 34 (Reno)
11-10-1990: Griz 14, Idaho 35 (Missoula)
11-17-1990: Griz 42, Idaho State 23 (Pocatello)

Thanks. So, it's been a quarter of a century since the Griz didn't have a winning record in November. Can any other program in the nation claim that?

We got conservative in the second half of that 1920 Carroll game. The Front Street Pour Boyz made sure Bernie Biermann knew the way things were.

Great post, OCC. Thanks for putting that together.

And that record is damn ridiculous. To put it in some perspective, during the last 3 seasons, the cats have lost seven games in November.

Sure the 1920 team scored 133 but if adjusted for inflation that puts it at 21 22 points in todays game.

By my calculations that other people developed, it appears that those 133 points are worth 1,581 (and change) points today. If Bernie hadn't taken his foot off the pedal, it would've been more. We needed to get some people in there who weren't afraid of ruffing up the leather on their ears. It was warm and quiet that day.

It is ridiculous. We all know we play well at the end of the year but the numbers were better than I thought. Speaks to the great coaches, players, high expectations and overall execution of our team throughout the years...that, and some f'n dola.

Griz are also 20-12 in December in that timeframe. Wonder how many other teams in I-AA have played 32 games in December since 1995?

Answer: None.

Should put up Msu's record since 1995 for comparison, but I'm too classy for that

Screw that...you ought to post it right on their site. Little brother needs to be reminded again and again.
