It's time for the youth movement in the Stitt era to take center stage and RS Freshman QB Gresch Jensen is now the posterboy. I wish him the best and think he is up to the challenge. Good luck Gresch and Go Griz!

Man, its been a long time since UM had a Frosh QB... If he can stay healthy and play well for 3 1/2 years he will break many records in this offense.

A lot of youth showing well, along with Jensen. I am really impressed with the young LB's, WR's, OL, and DL (especially Rodriguez). I hope we can add some youth in the secondary in the upcoming recruiting class.

Who was the last to start the majority of the season? I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Bergquist.

Morningweg's Wikipedia page claims he was a four year starter. Before my time, can anyone verify this? If so, I beleive he was the last one.

Bergquist started 4 years, I believe.

Bergquist didn't start his sophomore year. Swogger did. Jason Washington started a few games earlier on in Cole's frosh year.

I forgot about Swogger. Thanks

PR called it first. Bergquist didn't start his So year though. Swogger took the job for a year. '05 was a rough Fr orientation for Cole also going 4-4 in his 8 starts including a loss to MSU and a 1st Rd home loss to Cal Po. Hopefully Gresch will fare better.

Interesting to take a look now at the first group of all Stitt recruits. http://www.gogriz.com/news/2016/1/28/FB_0128164622.aspx?mobile=skip

Looks like a fairly strong recruiting class to me.
