The Fly Sweep - Can it be beat?
After the Fly Sweep, Stitt and the Griz are very exciting and successful in coming years, Stitt, Derek Crittenden and UM will create and patent a fly-fishing fly that will unstoppable, in that trout will be unable to stop hooking themselves. The Fly Sweep will bring so much revenue to UM athletics that UM will be able to give all Washington donations to the family, and re-name the new weight/locker project, the Egriz Anti-Academic Center in gratitude for the $100,000 of donations rounded up from 1000's of donors by Missoula's best and favorite realtor (sorry Cole). Stitt will have a enough money to remain at UM for the rest of his career. Crittenden, after returning from his Rhodes scholarship and becoming a chemistry god, will get into position to fire Engstrom for no reason and with no explanation. All will be good in Griz Nation.
Now that is some funny sh?t!

So I take it you don't like the play? I'd be curious about your take with your db background.

Don't even know what the play is. Just liked the name.

BWAHAHA!!!!

But seriously I'd be interested in that fly-fishing fly....

So what does it take to stop the Fly Sweep? Will our current QB candidates be able to run it effectively? And who most likely fits it the best? If NDSU has been running it, can our defense (what we know of it) be able to slow it or shut down the complexity of it? And who do you think will be our best RB to run it? A fast powerful guy (Joey Counts)? Someone sell me on Coach Bob Stitt. Please. I understand football. Not all the crazy numbers from a completely different division so much.

I don't believe the fly sweep is the answer to winning a national championship. It might be a very small piece. I think recruiting is the most importantly attribute of a a coach., followed by the defense offense and special teams. One play will not win you a national championship.look at past national champions ball control and defense wins.

This is exactly the offense the Griz need. The defenses of the Big Sky have been overly aggressive with their DEs and LBs against the Griz. This will work well with Jones and Henderson and Favors. Too bad Van is graduating. The short passing game is a plus too. Like every offense though, still comes down to QB decision making and OL play.

I think the offense is less about just the fly sweep, and more about just having the "correct option" for every defense on every play.
