That's kind of funny actually. During the Kennedy years we always wondered who was going to take the court. Either the Grizzles or the Fizzles.

For a while on the bobcatnation.com board they had it set up so 'griz' was automatically changed to 'friz'. I think that's been changed, but most people over there still refer to the Griz as "friz" or "frizzlies".

I guess its just their way of dealing with the fact that the Griz are still playing BB while the Cats sit at home :) Of course the same applies when the Griz FB team is playing in the playoffs..and the cats are..well...sitting at home :P

Anyway, all joking aside, the Cats had a very good year in BB. No one really expected them to do much in the Big Sky this year (including me) especially after they lost Brown.

They lost to Brown??? Ouch thats gotta be a tough one to swallow. But they did have a good year but you gotta give up for the coaches son Casey Durham. He kept them in most of the games i watched. Kid can shoot the lights out. RAINDANCE!!

one advantage of being a boobcat football player is they haven't missed many thanksgiving dinners over the years

Actually the Brown I was referring to was Frank Brown, who was their starting point guard at the beginning of the season. In the last game he played (Against SMU) he had 16 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds. If I remember right he was their starting point guard last season too, and averaged quite a few assists per game and had a bunch of steals.

Remembering what happened to the Griz last season when Mansell got injured, I figured MSU would be pretty bad without their starting point guard.
