The Dire Consequences of a 4-point Loss to the Bobs

I don't know, City. You can certainly say the rematch with MSU being in Bozeman is a consequence. the SDSU game, I don't think you can. MSU AD Leon Costello is on the selection committee. I don't think Leon was going to line up a few softballs for Montana had they defeated MSU the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
As long as Costello had a say in the bracket, Montana was going to get tough draws. Leon said it best during his 3rd quarter interview during the msu Davis game. He has to leave the room when msu is being discussed, but giving his opinion on other Big Sky teams is an important part of the job.
Don't think for a minute that Costello screams eat shit Griz out of one side of his mouth but speaks fairly out the other side.

There’s a video circulating of Costello and an older gentleman dancing to Mony Mony on a bar top in Bozeman the night of the Brawl. Not exactly the optics I’d want to see from university staff, but hell that university extends contracts and give pay raises to coaches who get DUI’s….seems to be par for the course.

Cats won 2 home playoff games then the title game on a neutral site in 1984.
