The crap that gets posted around here sometimes...

It is funny that PR etc want to call me out for dissing Gus, but if you actually read what was posted, I merely stated that Gus was dreadful in the first half and if that continues they have to look at something else. I also stated that after his final drive in the first half, Stitt should stick with him to open the second half. If you don't believe that is an acceptable observation, then I have to question your objectivity. Hell, even 75 can figure it out.

Uhh... exactly. ONE HALF and you say shit like I
'm sorry, but if Gus is the best option at QB, the Griz are in trouble.

when you yourself was so critical of Thiebes. I don't understand how fans like you claim to know football but are so quick to throw a player under the bus. Thiebes looked bad in the first half, as did Gus. One half of football... and you want to bench them and basically toss in the towel on the season. It's insane.

And the way Gus was playing in the first half, if that was the best they had they were in trouble. And even though Thiebes struggled, Gus has to make adjustments to compensate. If Gus can't not make adjustments based on what is happening in game, then he is going to look like first half Gus a lot.

I agree! As a whole I thought the Griz looked very good particularly defensively. The coverage team needs some work but both kicking and punting were better than I had anticipated for a game one. They are in for one hell of a test against UNI, but if all the units play well they will give themselves a chance.

I also want to give kudos to the effort put forth by the entire SFU team. They came here and more than held their own against a team which was generally considered to have far superior talent.

I second your view on SF. They played hard and gave the Griz a tough game. They played with heart. They dind't back down. They were well-coached and well-behaved on the field. I was impressed. I will now have considerable respect and positive feelings for SF, and hope they have a great season.

Most of your substantive posts show that you don't know what you're talking about. When you say something that makes sense, I agree with you. When a coach knows who his no. 1 QB is, he doesn't pull the starter after the first half of the first game. That's an example of why I know you don't under the game. And, BG had a poor first half, and make several huge mistakes, but he was not dreadful. He did multiple good things too. His receivers were seldom open. Note how the O adjusted in the 2d half to get the receivers open, starting on the first drive of the 2d half.

Like I said, absolutely no objectivity what-so-ever. And I never said to pull Gus after 1 half of football.

Correct, you have no objectivity and you don't understand the game of football. You essentially said BG should be pulled after his play in the first half. Do you think Stitt even considered it?

I said no such thing. And I know that with how stubborn and egotistical Stitt is, he would never pull him. Does that mean being of the opinion that if he continues to struggle changes shouldn't be considered? I think not.

Oh the bi-polar nature of egriz. Can we just let this team play a few games before we are overly supportive or are overly critical of player? Yes, the first half for Gus was bad. What's worse is that it was against a lower tiered opponent.
Well, I think the "concern" is that of the last three games, Brady had two good quarters, eight bad quarters and two good quarters. Of the three games at the start of last season, Brady had four good quarters followed by five bad quarters. "Bipolar" almost describes that record.
your vendetta against Brady gets old fast.
Those are actual facts, and do not describe a top tier quarterback. They just don't, and it doesn't matter whether he is "Bob Stitt's boy" or not. As I mentioned last season, it depends of course on what the coach is asking him to do, and if the coach isn't connecting the dots, then perhaps the player is not at fault. Similarly, your invidious hectoring gets old fast. Try some wrinkle cream.
I don't think that word means what you think it means

It wouldn't matter what the word actually means to you, would it Mrs. Gustafson?

Haha. So now I am married to Gus?

What other "facts" you got up your sleeves

Funny. I am a fan of many different teams and a member of many different fanboards and this is the only one where I see people so ignorant and crazy.

This one is just fresh in your head so it seems like the worst at the moment. I'm sure BobcatNation seemed like the worst to many concerned bobcat fans the day Bleskin turned it over a ton against the Griz. Did yo see that thread? The mods had to "Take back bobcat nation" and threaten bans over how bad that one got.

One bad half in the beginning of the season and you guys wanna call gus a "douche" and to bench him. Like what is that? Dude ends up getting 5 td's and everyone is still like "meh I guess." Won't admit they were wrong

I'm not big on the name calling or personal insults against players, never have been never will be. But again people say shit they normally wouldn't in the heat of the moment in a game thread.

The "meh" part is probably because he turned it over 4 times as well. 5 touchdowns is great. 4 turnovers is not.

Uhh... It's always been this bad. I am constantly saying it and this board is a mockery to even the griz nation. I know plenty of people including former players such as Tripp, Tru and what not and they know about this board and they think it is full of a bunch of retards.

the "meh" part is them failing to admit they're wrong, which is common human nature but more-so on this board. Sure Gus turned it over, it's the first game of the season but if you're crediting Gus with all 4 turnovers then I welcome you to take your eyes off the QB for a second and realize in front of the QB's and the halfbacks is this thing called the O-line and our O-line was the cause of at least one of those fumbles if not both.

So stop reading and posting then. Gawd you're a whiner.

And only one poster that I saw used "douche." I don't agree with it, but to start threads about it is just naiive.

Love your histrionics tho.

Or, you can concentrate on getting the crap-posters to stop posting their crap, or get the crap-posters to quit posting. That would be my vote. She's not whining. She's saying what you thinks. Can't wait for more of your crap.
