Many CFB reporters, analysts, and pundits railed Tennessee’s AD for ‘shocking’ the fan base by not following the above ‘process’ for hiring a coach. I believe it was an ex player on the SEC network that said (paraphrasing): float the name, stem the tide of emotions, then announce the hire...don’t go with the sneak and shock approach where Schiano isn’t mentioned in the search then is announced on a Sunday.

Since it appears Kent has followed the ‘AD’s guide to hiring polarizing coaches’ to a T ( pun intended) I fully expect the ‘Hauck is coming home’ announcement within 24 hours!

Sadly, you may be right. I’ve listened to what I thought was fair, balanced reporting daily on most issues from MTPR for most of my life. Now I see that if it doesn’t fit their agenda, they won’t report on it.

Then (allegedly) Saxon will come on here to challenge an eGriz poster, but will ignore someone with tangible, articulate concerns.
