The Cooler...

Heard Stitt was offered last week and said he would fly home and talk to his wife. If that is true, this really is a dumpster fire. The first two questions you ask are do you know what this pays and if we offer you, will you take it for sure. I hope this isn't what really happened.

Not what happened/what is happening at all.

Sounds prudent to me.. Hoping the story is that he returned to Mines to talk to his players, assistant coaches and a handful of their recruits to thank them. He spent 15 years of his life there. If this is the case, then...

The new coach:

Will have a "deer in the headlights" look on his face all the time.

Won't make the right halftime adjustments.

Won't have "the fire."

Won't have "swagger."

Will pass when he should've run.

Will run when he should've passed.

Won't "take us to the promised land."

Won't win the "natty."

Will waste some "schollies."

Won't play the second-string quarterback when he is clearly the best player on the team.

Won't be "aggressive" enough.

Will punt on fourth and five when he should have gone for it.

Will go for it on fourth and five when he should have punted it.

Doesn't know how to drive the "Cadillac" to which he's been handed the "keys."

May actually "drive the Cadillac into the ditch."

Won't realize he has more talent than any other team in the nation (again).

Added one. But overall...

Awesome idea! Depending on the who the new coach is, I was thinking which posters would be the first to hold their breath and stomp their feet over the selection of the coach who is now going to ruin Griz football. This thread would be a good scorecard for me.
Slightly off topic, I'll make a hypothetical prediction. Let's say whoever gets the job stays 10 years and coaches the Griz to four NC's, there will be fans who will say if we had hired _______ we would have won five.
If you hired Bobby you would have made it the the NC, but lost all of them.
Does that count
