Is there any modern day coaching contract that doesn’t have it as a standard term? UM and MT probably have it in their standard form. It’s obvious you’ve never negotiated a contract. You say you got qb club. Ask him.

You have no clue about contract or negotiations. “Accountability measures?” I negotiates contracts for a living for decades, thousands and thousands of them, and have never heard the term.
 
Buyouts are standard in coaching contracts, and I don't see any circumstance that the State/University wouldn't include one. Bobby and his agent possibly had negotiating power in the specific language, but I doubt he had much "leverage" as you suggested.
 
The bonus potential in the contract is over $350,000. Winning the conference is $5,000. Advancing in playoffs can get up to $100,000 or so, and good amounts for the assistants. Shows playoffs are way more important. Coyote’s argument is beyond silly.

How’d they do in their games against MSU and UC Davis?

Must have been better than us, right? They did better in the playoffs, too, no? It’s not like they didn’t score a single point in their only playoff game, or anything, I mean come on! They got 3rd in the Big Sky!

Coming from someone who tapped out of a decathlon challenge he proposed for days, this is really rich. Two alcoholics competing in a decathlon would have been priceless. To bad you chickened out. I'm sure the pay per view of that is could have rivaled the rose bowl.

Wat? Zero of that is true. Also, I'm not sure how you think you were so much better than NAU? Body of work throughout the season suggest otherwise. Yes you beat them head to head but it was in your stadium, against their 3rd string QB. I think on a neutral field they get you. They sure as hell didn't lose to Weber in Walkup Skydome.

I'd say we were on par this year (when healthy) when compared to each other. Also we played Tennessee State, they played an Abeline Christian team that put a scare into NDSU, not even a close comparison.

So you agree there’s no meaningful difference between 3rd and 5th in the Big Sky standings. Glad we can agree on something. 👍
