The Cat fans I know wanted Bobby Hauck to stay head man in Missoula and the 3-3-5 to stay as the base defense at UM for as long as possible because they know the Vigen offense matches up favorably against the Hauck 3-3-5. The results have been shown in the games. It’s not a guarantee that the BK defense which it sounds like is going to be a 4 man front will do well against MSU, but it has a better chance than doing the same thing over again which was not working.

Yes. The 3-3-5 was favorable for us as a run heavy team. It's a great defense for teams like the Griz themselves. It also can be flexible to bring more to the LOS. Problem is that changes the coverage scheme a lot and unlike the pro's, these kids gotta go to class....don't have all day to practice so many complex coverages.

My dad was hired as the D coordinator at Durango High in Vegas many years ago....introduced the 5-2/5-3 and shut down the town. He did have the luxury of 2 corners that were both guards on the BB team that were stellar. Solid edge integrity. Great for high school where you didn't see so many great QB's

The way the new Griz coaching staff is being formed and the whole fan base in turmoil it maybe the greatest thing since spilt milk for the cats. Could be a 50 plus point beat down for the Brawl. The whole Griz program is a disaster thanks to the AD.
