The Case For Criswell

Unfortunately, abuse of prescriptions drugs is epidemic in America, both by those in and out of the health care field. I don't know the particulars of this case, but if Criswell is serious, he can keep his license and move on. The state licensing departments actually have a program for medical providers to follow for this type of situation. If there was not an addiction issue and is was purely for profit, the sledding would be a little harder for him.

This pain med thing is really messed up. You got docs prescribing left and right getting people hooked then they (and insurance and pharmacies) cut them off to "avoid abuse." Obviously there is an almost maniacal drive to keep using (just look at Rayn Leaf). Of course that spawns a criminal supply and demand... It's time for research into non-opiate pain meds. And I was on favor of KC induction into the GHOF too. Dammit

Obviously I was not aware of Kevin's current situation when I wrote the original post. I would think my title would be more appropriate, but it was about making a case for Kevin being inducted into the Grizzly Hall of Fame.

My sympathies to the families impacted by what happened. Probably best to let this thread go, but I still have a great hope Kevin and his family will bounce back from this stronger than ever. People make mistakes, and it sounds like he is owning up to his.

Cringer, no one is holding your post against you. There's no way you could have known, and your points -- ignoring for a moment the huge elephant now in the room -- were valid.

Here's to hoping that Kevin can beat back his demons. Addiction is an ugly life partner.
