Did we lose this week too? Figures. Stitt can't coach at this level. :x :| :x

I'm glad somebody has the balls to say it. We'll continue to be mediocre until Bobby comes back. No reason to think anything positive.

And they did! Does that mean coaches respect the Griz more when Stitt isn't calling dumb plays. :)

This week I think it meant the Cats were playing...

Getting near the end of the season. Soon we will be selecting champions.

On E-Griz we will also select champions.

One category the selection committee will be looking at is the 2015 Troll of the year. Of course longtime cat fan will win hands down and become the most ignorant troll for all season. By!

It was a horrible loss, anyway you look at it, but it wasn't humiliating to me in any respect. MSU's ass-kicking by NAU was a worse loss, in my view. MSU lost big, and had it's first team all-star qb. What's their possible excuse? However, even that loss, wasn't humiliating. Man, that Cat poster obviously never played the game, and doesn't understand it. Just a troll. I really don't understand posters from other schools who hang around other team's message boards, and are trolls. I like other team's posters who are knowledgeable and provide information, but this joker must be a loser.

Really

UM lost to the worst team in the conference, AT HOME. That's humiliation.

Since when was an 8 point loss (one possession) "losing big"? (41-49) especially at NAU

You must've forgotten how the game is played. Senility or dementia? Either way, pull up your depends geezer, your butt hurt is showing.
Weber State is currently third in the conference standings. How does that qualify them as the worst team in the conference?

Well, if you are one of the chosen few ... everything.

Lets stop avoid the ugly; its time for Coach Ash to leave. Lets start embracing the truth: this is a top flight athletic program, with top flight donors, with top flight sponsors, with one of the largest stadiums in the FCS, located in a State where pride is everything

Uncalled for LTCF.

Not really

:coffee:

Tell me about Yates turning the defense around again, I love that one.

He was until he wasn't. I don't understand the decisions made by this coaching staff sometimes. I have no idea, none! Why we aren't playing a heavy DL like we did against CP and shut down the run. It's pretty god damned simple, but apparently cute is better. What do I know. Nothing apparently and yet we continue to let teams play offense at will. We couldn't stop a wet fart let alone a nose bleed and we still kept in the light ends.

Tell me, since neither one of us is going to the playoffs this year, how the hell that happens. You are #1 and I think if I remember right, MSU is #4 in attendance. We are the big boys of the FCS and you guys can't find an offense past the 20 and we can't stop an offense, any offense, from scoring if they have a pass game.

What the hell is going on

Lot of rumblings after the Viks game even from the old guard, I'm starting to wonder if he will survive if this season continues to disappoint...as bad as the defense was last year, this years version has looked worse...wasting a great year by Prukop.

Well, I guess the Chamber of Commerce answer for us is we don't have the personnel to properly run the offense that Stitt would like to, and the round peg in a square hole isn't working well. Compound that with an Oline who hasn't been able to consistently run block or defend the QB and you get an offense that plays between the 20's 95% of the time. Question is will it be better in the next year or two when he gets his pieces in place? We'll see.

On your side it seems that Ash's answer to a horrible defense is more offense, coming off of last year that is really unacceptable and I think your fans are justified in calling for heads. Just think what your season would be like if Prukop wasn't having a career year, every game would be 50-14...how would that play? He's had a good run but I think it might be time to move on, and that's an objective view.

One thing is definite, nobody fears either team at the moment.

Not a rosy picture, but I don't think any objective person can disagree. The last game might be the biggest pillow fight when you're on offense and you'll still score over 40 on us. The actual game will be when we're on offense.

I'm not a fan of the "he needs his guys" style of excuse for Stitt's offense not clicking. It's a combination of two things. 1) Delaney lowered recruiting standards and we just don't have any talent at OL and not enough at WR or QB. 2) Its his first year teaching an offense that is night and day different compared to what we were running with Delaney last year. And not just teaching the players, but it's also the first year in this system for all but one of the offensive coaches. I think next year we will be a force, and we really haven't been THAT BAD this year offensively, not great....but not terrible. We lead the Big Sky in red zone trips, thats gotta count for something.

That being said, I still think the Brawl will be a good, physical game this year. I believe Stitt is taking these big games (similar to NDSU) veeerrrry seriously in order to keep some of the dumbass fans off his back this year. On MSU's side I think they have a bad taste in their mouth after last year. As bad this year has gone for both programs, I expect a good football game on the 21st.

I agree with that to a point and it's not an excuse for the lack of execution, but we have to realize he has a certain skill set he's looking for and outside of the receiving corp it probably isn't exactly what he has in mind and we have to hope it gets better with each class, not a knock on any of the players at all. There's some growing pains going on, ask the displaced TE's and FB's.

There are still ways to win games; here's hoping he starts to find them.

He's lost two he should have won, but he also won one he should have lost. Like jodcon said, there are growing pains, and he has stuck to his guns. We will still win games this year, I'm betting we finish with a winning record. Which was basically all we got out of Pflu his first year. This first year, for me, he can really do whatever he wants. I'm just happy to see the ball moving.

I can agree with that, however one thing I will point out is that our DL is a LOT stronger with Jamaal Wilson in there, I'm shocked at how well he progressed! Where we are lacking is a Z wr and the OL mostly.

Does it REALLY matter who is in there if the individuals DON'T EXECUTE? All-American potential or a duff some coach cherry picked for a spot on the team. It hasn't been getting done. Generally, Stitt and staff have not gotten the best of what the players have to offer. Some players have produced very well. To expect miracles from a bye week is unrealistic(Liberty game). Healing time is realistic.

The thing about the OL is that most of these guys we (as fans) were very high on when they were recruited....so yeah, some might have hit their ceiling earlier than anticipated, but how is a coach supposed to know that in a 17-18 year old? I mean, Weyer, Todd, Reece, LaRowe, Kelly....all of these guys were highly sought after and we were thrilled back then when we got 'em...

Additionally, there's FIVE freshmen O-linemen (McGillivray, Meyer, Hart, Paolina, Villanueva) who we haven't even seen yet to know how they'll develop...so we can hardly say he (Stitt) hasn't attempted to already address the issue....it's still a crap shoot as to how these players develop.
