But they certainly cant host an 11 man football regulation game in thereYou appear to be obsessed with size. Both allow the team to practice indoors effectively without any problems. MSU has a full track with throwing areas. They can hold track meets there. The Griz facility does not have a full track.
I was watching this video earlier and Adam Botkin was saying they could play a high school football game in there. My question would be, where the hell would people sit because there doesn't appear to be much room for that. Not sure how big a crowd soccer draws, not a game I watch at all.Montana has a soccer team and the 120 yard field helps to have official striping and therefore an alternate option if a soccer match needs to be moved for whatever reason from South Campus. MSU doesn't support a soccer or softball team so doesn't have those worries. But it limits what they can rent the building out for.
Their full track is nice for indoor track to practice on the curves or for longer events than just sprints but seems kind of redundant as I thought Brick Breedin' already had that ability.
Its damn near the width of a full track. There is quite a bit of room. I stood corrected on the "full size track" haha.I was watching this video earlier and Adam Botkin was saying they could play a high school football game in there. These indoor facilities are mainly intended as practice facilities. They will be available for community use where applicable. Brick has the track facilities but basketball takes priority in fall and winter. Can’t do both at same time. New indoor facility gives track a place to practice.Montana has a soccer team and the 120 yard field helps to have official striping and therefore an alternate option if a soccer match needs to be moved for whatever reason from South Campus. but if they needed to play a high school football game indoors for some reason, they could do it at the University of Montana but not at Scatatonic (except for 8 man football, which is still the best football). These indoor facilities are mainly intended as practice facilities. Well duh, we kick their ass in the mascot arguments. Enrollment... get back at me later when our 3% growth catches up to their 40%. Some here have told me we're doing "really well" in enrollment.I miss the days when GRIZ and bub fans would argue about the important things.
You know, like mascots and enrollment l.
Since football at both schools pays for the track programs and most of the rest of both school's athletic departments and generates just exponentially more revenue for both schools than their respective track teams, advantage: UM. The Cats will have plenty of room for all units to practice simultaneously with no problem. Just ask South Dakota State who has the same.Since foitball generates just a

Go GRIZ. !!!
Really--where I went to school, a 100 yard field was 20% bigger than an 80 yard field. So your Shi__y Kitties will have plenty of room to simultaneously practice on a 20% smaller field ? ( Sounds too good to be true to me : ( Sounds like it will be really much more crowded than a 100 yard regulation field !!! ) And you've attended practices on South Dakota State's practice field ? How do you know South Dakota State has no problems with their facility or that they wouldn't want a regulation field instead of their short field ?The Cats will have plenty of room for all units to practice simultaneously with no problem. As for snow load on the roof, if you saw the thick steel beams used in construction, collapse will in no way be an issue. I would say the bubble has greater risk if a large hail storm hit or a very large snow load.
Isn't it hilarious that he keeps trying to portray sdsu as some beacon of college football truth. They're dumb too for Building a 80 yd field. Gimme 100 yds PLUS end zones for my division 1 football indoor facility, thank you. We'll figure out the nuances of the bubble and insulation, etc.Really--where I went to school, a 100 yard field was 20% bigger than an 80 yard field. I guess through Shi__y Kittymagic your team will also be able to play a regulation scrimmage played on a 100 yard field on their 80 yard field ?
I would rest easy about your genuine and sincere concerns concerning our bubble--it has a warranty and is currently being repaired at the manufacturer's cost. Did your gym that collapsed under heavy snow have a warranty ? ( Who paid for that fiasco ? ) Does your new practice facility ?
Agree, the scats indoor practice facility is just like SDSUs......The Cats will have plenty of room for all units to practice simultaneously with no problem. Just ask South Dakota State who has the same.
