The Bubble is down!

That's kind of what I was thinking. I know msu has a bubble on their campus that students use for intramurals and stuff. Have they had problems with their bubble? NDSU used to have a bubble before their new facility. Did they ever have problems? Perhaps we got a defective product.

The old Missoula Athletic Club had 2 bubbles at the base of Hellgate Canyon for many, many years that survived. And that is the windiest place in the entire valley.

You mean to tell me that an inflatable indoor practice facility (bubble) is this sensitive to the weather in Missoula. The weather in Missoula isn't anywhere near as bad as the weather in Minnesota and I've seen bubbles in Minnesota survive straight-line winds. I think the company that sold the bubble to UM needs to do a lot more to repair their reputation or they are likely to go out of business.

Well I was asking about the MAC bubbles, as I bet they weren’t 130 yards long. However, I could see how such an ambiguous statement could take this thread off the rails, but then again a few regulars will ensure it soon enough.

Think we can get an Austin Powers, Swedish Pump endorsement for this thing???

Well, since many of us are trained in CPR, maybe we need to train our football, softball and track teams--The Bubble Bruins and Bums, Bubble Babes, and Bubble Burners, in BSR: Bubble Structure Resuscitation so that when our bubble bursts again--seems to happen 5-6 times a year--our teams can quickly bring our burst bubble back to life, while simultaneously strengthening team bubble bonding : ) !!

Seriously, I hope UM at least explores suing the bubble manufacturer based on how the bubble in theory is supposed to perform, how it is actually performing, and the warranty terms and duration--how much longer is the warranty and what happens when repeated repairs and/or replacements continue to fail and we're nearing the end of our beloved bubble being under warranty?
 
Boise State has a bubble for indoor tennis and has no issues with tears or wind storms, does anybody have the engineering specifications on how the bubble is rated.
