The blonde female ref was bad

The fact that the first thing you went to was claiming it was a bad call because she is a woman is crazy. How many bad calls have male referees made over the years that everyone has complained about?

I remember when a male ref called a touchback for Montana a “safety” against NAU years ago. Everyone lit the guy up for that bad call. If it was a woman who made it, would you have called it a DEI hire?

Why did they let the receiver throw the ball into the stands…..twice….after his TDs? That’s another automatic penalty they let slide
We lucked out at a crucial time by this crew’s aversion to conduct penalties. Right after Gilman’s fumble it was 27-20 and momentum was on TSU’s side. They had that bad snap and were facing 3rd and forever. After the end of the play Kaschmitter raked the ball out of the TSU player’s hand and I thought “Oh Shit, how stupid can you be?”. To my disbelief, he didn’t draw a flag and automatic first down.

And what the heck was the reason for stopping the Griz play on the 2. I think we fumbled on the next play.

Except for about a quarter or 1.5 quarter, I thought the refs were generally good. But they went off the rails for that shorter period of time.
We fumbled on the next play. Reminded me of the ending of the ‘Scat game a couple years ago when that RB fumbled after the ‘Scats called a TO and we ran the exact same play to the exact same spot the 2nd time. This was a bit different, in that Gillman never really got the handle on the handoff.

Why was first play stopped?

Just rewached the play... Looks as if the ref had not started the official play yet. You can see him backing up, and he was just about to motion for the play to start, as the griz snap ball at same time (maybe a 1/2 second to soon). My guess is, the Head Officail thought they didn't wait till he started the play. Again, this is just what it looks like on the TV...

Why would the refs have waited so long to start the official play? Or whatever going on? Yes, Griz had just gotten a first down. Buy it doesn’t take long to set up chains on first and goal. I wonder if ref was giving time for TS to get set up and not for chains to be moved. Thx.

There was an injury on the play before the whistle. So you have to wait for the officials to start the play. The Official obviously didn't think they did. Only explanation I can come up with.

Nope. Started because she was a bad ref and made a horrible call. You post is wrong.

That is BS and you know it.

There are shitty calls in every game, but yet you start a thread with "blonde female ref" to single her out. With the same call, would have started a thread talking about that "dark haired male" if it was a different official? No. Trash.

Man, you seriously need to find a retirement hobby besides e-griz.

I want to see video of her PI call on Griz (25?) in north end zone area. It looked like the receiver just into and over the Griz. A clear offensive PI, from what I saw. I was sitting with a longtime ref who said it was offensive PI. Why didn’t the rest of the crew override her? Because she’s a woman? DEI at its worst.
Wow.

I have been a casual lurker for years here, but this is the first post that made me actually register to make a post.

This is gross. Mysogyny at its worst.

I agree she missed the call, but she wasn’t the only one. She was just the only woman, which you made sure to point out.

DEI hire? Gross.

This is an embarrassment to all Griz fans. You should apologize.

Cue the narcissistic gas-lighting, excuse-making, or (even worse) doubling down …

Nope. That was the worst call I have ever seen in college football. And she was standing right there. I was sitting with a female ref.

Another lurker signing up. Too funny. Look up her background. From the intramural league. She wouldn’t be where she is if she wasn’t a woman. Are not aware DEI is on the way out.

Nope. You miss the point completely. Feel free to criticize refs for their calls, but to tie their calls to their gender is beyond the pale.

If it was about the call, you would have talked about the call, and not her gender (or hair color - puke). You wouldn’t have brought up her gender in the thread title or made the DEI hire crack.

I’m sure you were sitting with a female ref, that is some coincidence. Did you tell her she was a DEI hire too?

If you had any self respect (which is different than ego btw) at all, you would admit the implicit bias in your post and apologize. Grow and learn. Be introspective. I’m not going to hold my breath though.
