The better team won.

Anybody else record the game? I watched it twice last night after work and did anybody else catch on that KEMP had 6 fouls? I think he got his third foul twice. I heard from a friend that on SIRIUS Radio the announcers caught it too.

You know..... it's funny how I come over here, give your team props for kicking our butts yesterday, and agree that your team was better yesterday. YET, all you guys read is the rest of my comment on how I feel that Nevada is still the better team overall, and I'm instantly a comedian.

This is why we play the games, gentlemen! If we went based off of power rankings, or AP poll, or some other subjective test, then the game would have never been played. You guys were ready yesterday, and we weren't. It's that simple. We have to go lick our wounds and you guys get to try and beat BC tomorrow.

Do I think that 9 times out of 10 that we'd win? Probably not... maybe 7 out of 10. But none of that matters. You guys were the better team when it counted. Period.

Fazekas sure doesn't play a very good defensive game, as some of the Nevada fans put it. He always needed help on our guys down low. And maybe it was my TV, but he didn't look all that big, if he wants to play PRO he will need to bulk up a bunch.

Fazekas would do good to stay another year and put 20-30 pounds on. He's actually not as bad as he looked on TV last night. He can shoot the ball from anywhere ... he just started rushing his shots. His D isn't horrible, but it's not stellar, either.

NSP, don't let board smack get to you. I appreciate where you're coming from. I think I get it.

Hey, it's what the Tourney is all about.. Upsets like that are what make it fun.

Of course, most of us would love to have Fazekas on our team. He's a great player. I wish for you guys that he'd stick around for another year.

Good luck next season.

I'm glad the Griz are alive for another game, and I'll hope for an upset Saturday!

My take is that Nevada probably had the two best players in the game, but Montana had the better team of 6 guys. Look at the stats from the game and you can see how balanced the scoring, rebounds, and assists are for the Griz, and how 2 guys accounted for most of Nevada's stats. Better team won.

I understand where you're coming from, but you must realize that when you come to our board and tell us that you still think Nevada is the better team overall, you're not really giving our team props -- all you're really doing is acknowledging that the Griz won the game, and of course, we're already aware of that. If you really think Nevada is the better team, that's fine, but you can't seriously be surprised by the response you've received here...

Grizlaw you nailed it. Opposing fans come to this board and talk smack (saying your team is better when they just got their butts handed to them IS smack) and then don't like the response. BOO HOO!

Grizindahouse also nailed it. The Griz TEAM is better and I'd rather have a team than to have to try to bet the game on just two players. You look back to the Lakers "Dream Team" and Detroit make them look silly by playing as a team against a couple of players who had arguably superior talent.

The bottom line is that team basketball will beat "superstar" talent 9 out of 10 times and you can't legitimately claim a team is better just because of one or two players. Take your badly beaten butts back home Nevada fans and admit the better TEAM won. Good luck next year, I am sure we'll be glad to dominate you again next year!
