The 4 plays that changed the game

1. Grossman dropping his first target of the season that would have been a 3rd down conversion… Do the coaches still switch QBs on the next drive?

2. The interception to end a promising drive to end the first half.

3. In my opinion…. Play that flipped the entire game in Davis’ favor. The too many men call on 4th down. I was too focused on the defense knowing that it was a free play that I didn’t know if we stopped Davis or not to be honest. Clearly we already had 11 guys on the field, then sent in an extra lineman and no one came off. Refs held the play to sub, no player made an attempt to come off…. Call a timeout!!!

4. Davis got a first down, and a Griz player stripped and recovered the ball. I saw the side judge call for a replay, then they let Davis run another play. According to a family member the replay never played on the broadcast. Was this a fumble??

Flat out got outcoached.

I would agree the 4 plays that changed the game where
1. The 3 touchdowns. Thats all they needed to score more points than the griz.
2. You pick any other play you want.

I agree that these were the significant plays, especially the first 3. 1 and 2 were not the coaches fault but #3 was.
I believe that #3 was after a timeout by Davis. Interceptions happen, Dropped passes happen, Missed calls by the refs definitely happen.

But not having the correct # of players on the field on a big 4th down should NEVER happen.

And if it does you waste a timeout to make sure that the 1st down isn't gifted.

Again, on too many players call, didn’t Davis pick up the first down on the play anyway? Agree it shouldn’t have happened, of course.

Just about any play where their receivers were wide open, but specifically when there were 4 defenders in the vicinity of one receiver and a wide open receiver who basically walked into the endzone.
It was the 10th game of the season and numerous times the Dline was confused on where to line up and the defensive backfield confused on who to cover.

It was over the moment the coaches decided to play musical QBs. Fife came out absolutely on fire. After that first drive I thought we would hang 40 on Davis. Second drive he is again perfect but Grossman drops a perfect pass. New QB for whatever reason comes in and everything looks difficult. Completely changed the entire vibe. Never got balance back. We had complete momentum and Pease decided to consciously fuck it up. Either he’s an idiot for not realizing we had it. Or he’s an idiot for not thinking a QB change could affect it.

Dumbest decision of the season.

How about wasting the momentum of the big kick return by Childs in the second half. Usually seizing momentum at home is not a hard thing, but it seems to be this year. Goes along with the clunkyness we are seeing.

I'd argue the play when the personal foul happened with the UC Davis player being blatantly shoved afterwards early in the 3rd.

UC Davis seemed to get fired up and never looked back.

In the 3rd qtr pinning Davis after Riley Wilson sack to 2nd and 18 and then giving up a 15 yard pass to Larison on the wheel route where he hurdles our defender and leads to a 3rd and short and them ultimately picking up a first down the very next play.

How do you know it’s Pease’s decision?

I'm not necessarily saying this was a game-changing play (although if I recall correctly, I thought it would've been a converted 3rd down and instead Griz punted in the 2nd half) but can anybody explain to me the difference between White's catch where he went out of bounds before leaping, caught the ball, and landed inbounds and the game-winning catch in OT from the WSU-Griz game where the WSU WR also went out of bounds, leapt and caught the ball and upon landing in bounds the refs determined that was sufficient enough for "re-establishment"? Seems like the same situation but had two different rulings. Wish we could get some consistency (and thus, competency) from the officials. But with the #bsc we know we aren't going to get any acknowledgement or accountability...

One was forced out and the other went out on his own.

How do you know it’s Pease’s decision?
I don’t. My assumption is that it’s Pease and that Bobby is so loyal to his buddies he isn’t putting the stop to it.

But ultimately it’s on Bobby. Buck stops with him. Whoever’s idea it is it’s a brain dead one

I would assume that it is more deflating for the team if the 1st down is gifted by a dumb mistake.
Line up and play and if they beat us (as they MIIGHT have) is why they play. But at least the d would feel like they were given a chance to succeed.

It wasn't gifted, they had picked it up.
