Thayne Jackson, 3 star OT commits to the Griz

We are building a great recruiting class on paper so far, but lets not forget how many 3 star guys we lost right before signing day last year. Still can't believe Cody Baker went to New Mexico.

On that note, from his comments and family connection it sounds like Thayne Jackson is a lock. What a great get!

. Don't forget Cody Baker to New Mexico, Alex Neale to UNLV, Chris Schlichting to Eastern, Woody Brandom Msu all were Commited and all were 3 stars and all were up until the last few weeks all about the GRIZ and they went elsewhere I for one won't get excited till its on paper in February

Yup, exactly. Thank you for filling in those other names. Baker, Neale and Schlichting really hurt. Throw in Mau Ena and our "best ever on paper" class last year really fell apart at the last min. Cautiously optimistic for the class we have so far this year. Lets hope these guys, plus a couple 3 star D lineman stick this year.

Like I said earlier, it sounds like we can count on The Thayne Train sticking to his commitment.

Like last year, one or more of the tire fires in local FBS conferences will offer these kids. They prefer to wait for their big gets to defect before they swoop in. Sample tagged a story showing the kid was hopeful that Oregon would step up earlier this year. What if they decide to in Feb.?

Nobody talks about him, but the Meyer kid may turn out to be the best of last years bunch.

His only full-ride schollie offers are from UM, Weber and (gag) Missouri St. As a previous poster suggests, watch out for some late FBS offers. But I think this kid will stick; he knows our history.
