That first run down the tunnel into WGS....

Yes a thread about nothing in particular but its not about smoke or altitude or how much fans weigh. I was thinking earlier today just how epic it must be the first time the new kids emerge from the tunnel for their first game in Washington Grizzly to the tune of 25,000 screaming fans.

Do us proud. Keep your noses clean and fight till the clock strikes all zeros. You're a Grizzly now.

Up with Montana boys.

That is all.

I can somewhat explain what it feels like running onto the field for the first time. I hadn't attended a Griz game ever before my freshman year of college in 2007. I watched the Griz on tv, but didn't have the pleasure of being able to attend one until then. As a freshman, I was a member of the marching band, so my first-ever experience of Washington-Grizzly Stadium was unique in the fact that I got my first taste of Wa-Griz on the field. As we lined up on the field for the tunnel run, the adrenaline was absolutely insane as the team ran out onto the field. Goosebumps is probably the best way to describe it with 25,000 fans screaming so loud you can feel it vibrate inside your chest. I had that feeling every game, and I imagine that players feel something the same when they run into the heart of Griz Nation.

My brother hung out with Crebo a bit and Crebo told him there was no other feeling like coming out of that tunnel to the screaming fans. He said he felt like he could run through a brick wall bc his adrenaline was so high. He said it was one of the things he missed when he was done with Griz football
