Thanks Bobby

I have no doubt the program is in a much better place than 2018 when he took over. No off the field incidents and success on the field and in the classroom. This is a demanding fan base and needs to stay demanding. He’s held that mentality ans well and understood it. He didn’t shy away from it. He wasn’t perfect but he was a Griz and put more into this program than anyone here. Wish him the best. That whole fishing and not worrying about work sounds like a pretty good life.
 
Thanks to Bobby and the Hauck family for tirelessly and selflessly devoting themselves to Grizzly football. I don’t care what anyone says Bobby was winner. If you look at his resume and the quality of individuals that have come out of the program there is no question he has made the the University, The state of Montana, and the world a better place. His leadership and guidance has helped shape many leaders in the community and it is a shame these agents, (and girlfriends 0-4) are starting to get in their heads. Adversity and competition are some of the most important things these young men can learn to overcome. Thanks again for the product turned out on and off the field.
 
Never liked the guy, never hated the guy but always really respected him and what he brought to the Griz. Not just coaching, but the intangibles.

It's a fucking special thing to have a coach as committed as he was. Good on him for giving the reason instead of some sanitized bullshit.

Any idea re replacements?

I mean, we already have our replacement for this season. What happens after this season fully depends on what happens during it.

Im not an "insider" by any stretch, but I met him a couple times and he was very warm and personal.

The record speaks for itself. All time great. Winning a chipper is next to impossible, and getting to the chipper game is next to that. He got as close as you can get without winning one. All while guiding and influencing high school kids along the path to becoming good men and citizens. In that way, few have more trophies in their case than Coach Hauck.

Just on a human level, being head coach must be a massive burden. Imagine the joyous relief he is feeling right now.

Well earned. Im glad he represented us for all these years. I hope im wrong, but i have a feeling we are about to experience a period now where we will look back and realize how lucky we've been. We live in strange times.
