Good footwork, quick guy, nice zip on the ball. Doesn't know where he's throwing half the time. Very limited in drills.

i drove over from Butte and saw the first hour and a half of Tues 2:00 o'clock practice, up untill they moved to the stadium. I saw what I needed to see and then I got out of the 95 degree heat and hit a watering hole, hey, it was 5 o'clock somewhere.

I agree with Wahlberg, he said good feet (I'd say really good feet), quick (got into his drop quickly, quicker than Mckinney did), really good throwing technique (threw from his ear), and had good velocity (tight spirals) on all his balls (McKinney wobbled/fluttered some), not to mention he was highly accurate. He put the deep balls right where they needed to be, high (not over or underthrown) allowing the WR to run right under them (not breaking a single stride). I can see why he went to Stanford...and why his former HS coach (former Pac 12 player himself) was so high on him..the kid can sling the ball. He is broader shouldered and in the back than the other QBs on the team, allowing him to gun it. Imagine a college pitcher, or college outfielder from his postion delivering a ball to the plate with power, that's Adam B. The Griz needed this transfer badly. The quicker he learns the playbook the better UM will be.

In watching the QBs, if the season started Aug 6, I'd list them 1) SSH -- has taken his game up an notch from 2011 and knows the playbook as a 3rd yr player. 2) Adam B -- throws the best ball and can run the read-option. 3) Trent McKinney -- good runner, wasn't real enthusiastic in his drops and got yelled at for it. 4) Brady G -- good size, needs practice as he's a high schooler...gonna be good.

Thank you GrizLA...that's exactly how I felt (better) after having the first practice of the fall.

The team was FOCUSED and highly motivated. It's going to be a great season.

I was impressed with the HC, OC, and DC too.

I think the fact that he was accepted to Stanford would indicate he's reasonably bright. Just sayin'.

He also has a 4.22 GPA which tells me he is smart & can study too. :)

Grades are just one of the criteria at Stanford. This kid got in, that means he went through a very rigorous process, even if he is an athlete. Interview after interview, they look for the full person. UM got a good student and kid, it appears. They should be writing about that in the national media instead of....

Mick said Adam had a 30 or 31 ACT score as well...

Future plans as a heart surgeon...

He's going to be saving a lot of our lives, as a Griz QB and as our DR. Dissecting defenses and clogged arteries. :woo:

Book smarts doesn't always mean football smarts.

His HS football statistics and football honors speak for themselves.

He'd be your starting QB right now.

That's fine, but again,it doesn't always translate into football smarts. In the opposite way, Dan Marino isn't considered the sharpest tool in the shed (I believe he has had one of the lowest wonderlic test scores) and he's considered one of the greatest QB's to ever play.

More than anything your new QB just needs time with his receivers.

Or better yet, have him go up against those UNC dbs; that'll make anyone look good!!!

Sorry 'bout that; the Devil made me do it.

I like what I see from him so far great potential, legit skill set, ideal for modern day FCS level dominant QB!
Give the Griz some true depth at the position. Do y'all really understand the importance of depth in championship caliber teams...

Maul 'Em
Go Griz

See my first post, NewPapa: we absolutely need Adam going into fall camp with only 3 QB's until he arrived.

He appears to be a very intelligent kid and a gifted athlete, and we need him badly !!!
