Test From God?

Make sure you have some baby size Griz gear for the trip home!

Also. Hospitals have guest internet if you don't have it on your phone. You can pull up the game on CBS.com and listen to it on radio for 6.95 or so.

I watched Mark McGuire hit his 62nd from the delivery room in Plentywood back on 9/8/98. I shouted my approval and after the inning went 30' to the waiting room where my family was.

"WHAT DID YOU HAVE"!!!???!!!??? "Nothing, McGuire just hit his 62nd" Them: :?

First of all congratulations and best wishes to mom, baby and of course dad.

If the baby comes out calm, collected, confident and appears to be in charge of the situation then congrats for having a Griz. However, if the baby comes out whining, crying, screaming and demanding then I fear to tell you it's a probably a bobcat.

One other thing, be glad you didnt' have the ob/gyn that practiced here in Billings. I know of one birth that was perfectly normal and going quite well that he decided to c section. The reason was that if he didn't he would miss his tee time at Hilands.

I'm not much of a religious man but damn this feels like a test!
My wife is 9 months pregnant with our first kid and was just told by the Doc. today she will be induced next Friday.

I hope the hospital has ROOT!

Why not just induce on Wednesday? :? :?

There should be a TV in the room. Most hospitals have cable. My first child was born while we were watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.

And God won't give you more of a test than you can stand.

Congratulations on the pending arrival! :thumb:
MST 3K.... I loved that show :P
Real bummer when they took it off the air :(
Here is a secret. Google Rifftrax. (some are free on HULU.)

You're welcome

Congratulations! the only test is that when your child is born if you are still looking for a score then you really need to evaluate your priorities in life............... pssst, it's just a football game.
I guarantee that you will be amazed at what you've created. good luck.

Thanks, I will. I bought DVDs of all episodes of MST 3K shortly after it went off the air. There are still some that I haven't yet watched. My kids are being raised on Abbott and Costello, the Stooges, Marx Brothers and MST 3K.

I know from when my wife was in Community Medical Center in Missoula their cable sucked, only basic channels. I doubt they have Root.

Congratulations!

Thanks,

If they don't have Root I have three options.

-They have free internet so I can get on collegescores and watch play by play.

-DVR it, go into media seclusion and watch it when we get home. This would probably be damn near impossible considering catgriz the biggest event in the state and I imagine everyone will be talking about it.

-Bring a radio.

I'm thinking bring a radio and DVR it.

Buy a blindfood and earplugs. Only remove when baby is born. Also where a sign that states, "If you tell me the score I will body slam you into next season".

Lol,
the scary thing is thoughts like this actually crossed my mind

I'm like a junky that needs my fix. I can seriously feel anxiety thinking about the game being on without me being able to watch it..

Griz football is damn addicting
This advice is going to come from a guy that prior to last season has only missed games because of drill weekends for the Army Guard...God, family, work in that order. Since the birth of our first child last year (most amazing gift from God imaginable) I have only been to three games. I live in Helena so my time spent going to a game ends up being basically all of Saturday, but Griz football is not the same to me with the new priority in my life. With that being said, before my daughter was born I considered Griz football family, and the reason I say that is because I have many relatives that have played for the Griz (including Jordan Tripp), I have helped coordinate the Military Appreciation Day activities for the prior four years before this one, and I have had the same season ticket since the stadium opened with my dad. But Griz football does not come close to comparing to fatherhood. You will understand the second your wife goes into labor. Everything in the world will become secondary to the focus that you will give to your wife, especially if you love God. Good luck and cherish the moment!

If you lucky though, your kid will get into cheering for your team too, and nothing is more fun than going to the games together
