Hoops will somehow turn this into a Bobby love fest and explain how the Griz are still looking better. Well Bobby said……

Nope, I know the Cats are doing great. I like the Cats. Just don't like certain Cat fans. I went to Bozeman high. Was recruited by Cats. My family lives there and owns much of the town.

May the records show another priceless quote from the Player. OG Bozeman, likes the Cats and family “OWNS MUCH OF THE TOWN.”

Oh and for the stitt lovers that think he's better than Bobby, Stitts record while here was 14 W-10 L a big sky record of 9 w 7 L
Bobby 34-17 Conf 20-12

Then add in those spring games that would be 36-17

Also stitt got us smashed by UNC, NAU, Bobcats, Cal Poly, and EWu all in one year in 2016.

Hauck has brang us back from the pits of hell and we are close to knocking on heavens door. I don't understand all the crying about Bobby. He's the best coach we have had since Bobby!!
‘Nobody here thinks Stitt was/is better than Bobby. That begs the question though: Is THIS what we fired Stitt for? To go 7-4, finish 6th in the conference in year 5, and win a meaningless play-in playoff game against a bottom dweller conference and then get our ass handed to us in Fargo? It’s like 2015 all over again.

And as to your last sentence….just NOPE. Pflu, had he been allowed to continue what he was building, would have been a way better coach than Bobby…certainly THIS version of Bobby.

You are absolutely correct about Pflugrad. He was building something impressive for sure and would likely have won a natty. He assembled a solid staff and had the program headed in the right direction. I am amazed when I look back at how many mistakes were made. Engstrom being a massive error. That one single mistake set the University back a decade or more. The football team was just one casualty. The entire institution suffered under his lack of leadership and vision. An epic failure.

Pflu was handed a Cadillac, went 7-4 his first year, then his next year most wins were negated. I do agree Pflu would have been awesome but, it's all speculation. We will never know how things would have went after. The Delaney crashed the Cadillac, started to rebuild it, then Stitt came in poured sugar in the gas tank, pushed it off a cliff and watched it explode. Bobby came in, towed it out and got it running again, just needs tuned up and some replacement parts. Stitt took us to the playoffs 1 time I'm 3 years, Hauck 3 times in 4... I'll take 3 outta 4 over 1 outta 3 any day..

We’ve been down this road before, but I’ll say it one last time. I want more than just MAKING the playoffs.

Yes, the Griz won 2 playoff games while Hill was winning 1 in the last 2 years. Griz won 3 in past 3 years, when SS won 1.

I have been discussing Bobby's last 3 seasons all along. Try to keep up.

Try GOOGLE.

Good try. Hill has owned Coach Hauck since his return in 2018, including more playoff wins and beating him head-to-head in the playoffs. Its impossible to compare Hauck to Viden, Taylor, or Eck because they all went to the playoffs their first year and Bobby was going 6-5 in 2018. Remember that embarrassing lose to Portland State? Kind of like the embarrassing lose to Idaho this year. The one area I would say Hauck is comparable to Viden is that neither one can win a game on the road against a quality opponent.

Hoopsfan's big on "round of 24" playoff games. The higher caliber FCS teams don't often play those but Bobby and crew really like that round. A chance to buy a home game against another marginal playoff team and book a win.

Good thing the mastermind designed a couple special return game plays so they got past semo this year (he really did give himself credit for those plays postgame!!)

Then the next week things get tougher but at worst RTD can claim a playoff win and Top 30 (???) end of season poll ranking. Hoopsfan's big on end of season Top 30 rankings. Big time time stuff. Not every team is ranked in the top 30 at the end of the year......only 30 of them!

Hauck has already gotten UM back, and getting into playoffs and winning playoff games. 3 years in row.
Haven't you figured this out yet when we say that's not good enough? There's no excuse for why this team shouldn't be a semifinal team and in the natty conversation every year or every other year. I'm not anti-Hauck and I'm not calling for his job because down years happen, it's just a part of Football, but if he has this same result again next year, we really need to look at the future and examine the best way forward. Especially if Hauck refuses to make changes to the coaching staff which is kind of the way it's starting to look!
The Griz wind up in the same bracket as JMU or NDSU caliber teams in the playoffs and in Fargo. That is a major impediment to the semi finals.
Maybe some day the Griz can get the softer side.

The softer side? Just what every competitor with title aspirations desires. A lot of JMU caliber teams are now playing at a higher level. If the Griz and RTD can just wait out a few more move ups maybe they can draw "the softer side" and make it to the semifinals!

- bad calls and refs
- bad reviews and refs
- LB coached to target
- injured QB
- bad schedule
- bad side of the bracket?

Am I missing any other Griz fan excuses?

To all you Lady's Comparing Hill and Taylor stats and whatnot - I hate to break it to you but they are gone & probably rightfully so! Clean Slate folks! Go Griz!

Look at the playoffs last season. The cats slide into the championship game from the softer side. Meanwhile the Griz face JMU.
Last seasons real championship game was between JMU and NDSU in the semis. The championship game was just a stage for giving the bison another trophy.
The playoffs are set to almost guarantee seeded teams advance at the expense of the rest of the field.
I don't think the Griz are at the same level as NDSU or SDSU yet. Last season SDSU limped in Bozangeles injured and on the road. The cats won that game for that very reason.

I think the playoffs should be a whole new season and every team enters at 0 wins 0 losses. Homefield could be determined by a coin toss.
As it stands now the seeded teams have a significant advantage.
