Temporary (One Evening) Fandom: T-Birds and Hornies

I know some on here only care if it involves the Griz, but for tonight I’ll be rooting for the SUU T-Birds and the Sac-State Hornies. Both are on the road (at NoColo and EWU, respectively), but I’d sure like to see one or both put another in the loss column for those teams right behind the Griz in the standings.

I don’t think either of them got a shot.
Me neither, but stranger things have already happened this year. Last night, NC State beat the crap out of #6 Duke, 88-66.

No help from the losers' bracket so far ... both down by double digits at halftime.
Wow! Give the losers credit: SUU chipped away to tie it right near the end, but could not quite pull off the upset. And Sac State had the lead late but couldn't hold it. Close losses are still losses, but they show that those teams could be dangerous at tournament time.

Both are still coming up on the Griz schedule and could be challenges just to finish out the regular season, which could factor into the conference championship race as well.

Good point. With them possibly coming on strong, the Griz face a tough end to the season ... since they also face: NoColo (3rd in the Sky), NAU (#4), MSU (#5).
