TELEVISION FOR ISU GAME

So, in reading through the various replies, this still isn't very clear:

What are the viewing options to watch the game in Montana? Are there any free options that do not include signing up for a bigger package on Charter or DIRECTV?

You can sign up for a 7-day free trial of Fubo TV. I did it to get the PAC 12 network for the game at UW, but opted to keep it for a few months. The game at ISU is on the schedule for Fubo this Saturday. I've watched about a dozen games on the service and the stream is solid, clear and has only buffered on me one time for about 10 seconds. I'm on the road this weekend, so I'll be watching the Griz at ISU through Fubo on my laptop.

Edit, if you do the free trial, sign up for the orange package (20 bucks a month if you keep the service) and the optional sports package (5 bucks a month if you don't cancel the service after the free trial.)

It's ok...I'm a dumb ass as well. I got it as an ap on my ipad. Pluto TV. It's on some other electronics as well, ie playstation or something like it, as well as some DVD/blue ray players. Pretty simple to use honestly, even for a dumb ass :D

Yup. Jump through enough hoops and you'll find that it is available on something like Spectrum II-which is only a "little more" than Charter's comparable Gold package. But isn't available on Charter. And they can switch you to Spectrum immediately. However, you can't go back to your Charter rate. Cute corporate trick to get all old Charter customers off old rates on to new Spectrum packages. It will be on 762 if you pony up to the new Spectrum deal.

It was offered in Tier II .. Currently you will get the channel guide info and a video slate announcing "Programming on this network is no longer available". Spectrum (Charter) does not carry the network anymore.

Not to be a dick, but here goes. This seems to happen a time or 2 a year. A Griz game is on some obscure channel and all hell breaks lose. Is it more convenient to watch a game on local channels? Yes. But it is what it is. No amount of bitching on eGriz will change the Big Sky conferences mind. There are a few ways to watch as outlined in this thread. Get DirecTV with the extended sports package, figure out how to use Pluto, or call around to your local bars, or go to friends house. It's really not as bad as some make it out to be, just takes a little more work.

I watch the game on the Pluto app through ROKU.

What the hell is ROKU?

I have an Amazon Fire Stick which plugs into my smart TV. The stick allows me to download the Pluto TV app, which I will then launch and watch the game off that.

Here's an idea... Jump in your car Saturday AM and drive to Pokey. You will meet up with a lot of well travelled Griz fans and have a great time at the tailgate. Pokey isn't that bad a trip. We need to own the dome and be there to back our boys!!!

Grizphan's guide to streaming sports. I don't have cable and won't ever have cable again so here are my sports work arounds. I use a desktop computer, just easiest for me.

Using Big Sky Conference website.

http://www.bigskyconf.com/sports/2015/11/19/WatchBigSky.aspx

Stream this with a Google Chromecast.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/google-chromecast-black/4397400.p?skuId=4397400

Use Google Chrome Browser and add in the Chromecast addon.

https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7249696?hl=en

Start stream and click the Chromecast button on top right hand corner of page. Click page expand on bottom right hand corner of stream. Will stream directly to TV in large format.

Pluto on Roku.

Roku is a streaming device that will stream tons of pay and free apps. Netflix, Amazon, etc. capable as well as sites like Pluto. Pluto has worked good for me a few times but with less traffic than a football game.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/roku-premiere-streaming-media-player-black/5515300.p?skuId=5515300

Add Pluto via Roku menu. Pretty easy.

Go Griz.

Went home for lunch and downloaded the Pluto app on my desktop. They were showing North Dakota Vs NDSU volleyball. I think it might just work. Thank you for the help folks!

Also, anyone in Great Falls who wants to watch the game, it will be on TV at the Hi Ho Tavern! The sting will not have the game.
