Player development may in itself help with player commitment? Could be a player might view assistance as authentic team investment for their personal development. Or could be the reverse, a player assuredly appreciates "betterment" thus making the more viable in the portal? At any rate, with teams experiencing significant player change over, the job of individual player development is relatively short term. Players come and go for one reason or another, either way good to have this dedicated position!
