Feel free to point any stated thing or achievement in my life that isn’t true. You are just jealous. You are just hiding behind a keyboard. A coward. You feel threatened by people with confidence. There isn’t an insecure bone in my body. That seems to offend you

Psychologically, this response shows classic defensive escalation. Rather than addressing the substance of the critique, he shifts to personal attacks, mind reading (you are jealous, threatened), and absolute claims (there isn’t an insecure bone in my body). Those are not signs of confidence, they are signs of ego defense under perceived threat. The intensity and certainty of the denial, combined with insults, suggest insecurity about status and self image, not its absence. In short, the reaction confirms the pattern of fragility beneath asserted confidence.

AI has even taken over shit talking. Our civilization is doomed.

Not true, because we have the best corner in the conference and can play more and better defenses and leave corners and secondary players on islands. Also, will have a new scheme designed by Tim Hauck and Kent Baer which will shut down Lamson. And the front 6/7 now has the confidence to come harder at Lamson and the Cat OL, who are not that great this year.
They're coming up with a completely new scheme just for the Cats? That's cute. Especially since in all his time at UM, Baer has almost never switched things up. Bradford did, but Baer not nearly as much.

I understand that having Loud back helps, but it's still a numbers game. UM frequently rushes with 5-6, occasionally more. So, let's be generous and say you're rushing with 5. That leaves 6 defenders on the field. Now one of those is tied up on Lamson as a spy. 5 defenders remaining. If MSU is in 11 personnel, that means everybody is locked up on a man. Over the course of a game, that's a win for the offense. Literally just begging for a screen play and chunk yardage. And that's still best case scenario for the defense. Should you be rushing 6 or more, and spying on Lamson, that leaves a man open. If a team wanted to be very aggressive against such a defense, they'd just go empty and get the ball out quick. Again, a spy can absolutely work, but it's a risky tactic when you're rushing 5+ on every play.

As for MSU's OL, I mean, MSU averaged 6.7 YPP, basically a full yard better than what your defense has given up on average, so they must not be all that bad. Take the sacks off of Lamson's rushing yards, because that's a stupid way to do it anyways, and MSU had 2 players run for 100 yards. So...either your defense isn't real good, or MSU's OL is better than you think.

That is an interesting point about being negative about his former coach publicly. He is in what I would assume is a fairly unique position for most people in that his former coach is still coaching the team he is a fan of almost 20 years after he played and he is critiquing as a fan.
Maybe you guys have caught things I haven't, but what has Schmidt actually said that's hating on Hauck?

He's been critical towards in state recruiting, the OL play, and S&C. He's never said Hauck is a bad coach that should be fired. He is just admitting he sees deficiencies that should be shored up. He's been honest and said that the offensive scheme is alleviating some of the OL issues. I realize that he's abrasive and can understand why many don't like him, but I just cannot understand why so many think that being the least bit critical is such an awful thing. The idea that we should only be positive is a mindset that never leads to growth.

This new post reads as a highly idealized self portrait rather than an independent assessment, emphasizing intelligence, toughness, success, popularity, and authority. Psychologically, it reinforces a strong self enhancing bias and a need to control the narrative by asserting superiority across many domains at once. The language suggests identity fusion with football knowledge and the message board, with credibility framed as earned through hardship and achievement. The absence of ambiguity or self critique points to rigid self concept maintenance rather than balanced self awareness. Taken together with prior posts, it strengthens the impression of high confidence paired with sensitivity to challenge and a strong drive to be seen as dominant, respected, and unquestioned.

In essence, the post is less about describing reality and more about protecting and reinforcing the writer’s self image. The person is asserting authority, virtue, intelligence, and social success all at once because they feel that status is under threat. When someone presents themselves as universally competent and admired, it usually signals insecurity rather than confidence. The lack of nuance or self criticism suggests they struggle to tolerate disagreement or loss of standing. In plain terms, the post is a defensive self validation exercise, not an objective evaluation.

Im finding it hilarious Andy Schmidt can't stay away from e griz. So funny. But I ssupose he does need to keep promoting his "viral" pod, because currently its got the 5th out 7 most views on youtube of colter's cat/griz pods this week on you tube. Almost dead last. Currently way behind several others. Embarrassing! And the only reason he gets the views he does is because colter does a great job. Colters other pods are fantastic. Tootell, opposing coaches, vidlak, etc. Great conversations. I did watch the first few minutes of the Andy storm pod, but had to stop. A few odd / funny observations:

- Andy *literally * acknowledged he was unhirable after college, and blamed it on a prejudice against **checks notes**, griz football players and um graduates, in missoula. This is so wildly ridiculous, it must have been a joke. I've got a pretty solid pulse on missoula, and I've never remotely heard of such a thing. The only segment of people I don't have a very good understanding of are the losers and victim mentality folks, admittedly. Former griz athletes have every opportunity in the world to be successful in missoula, which is awesome. All of us in business in missoula love having former athletes as employees / colleagues. Unless, of course, they're, losers, whiny, arrogant, negative/ pessimistic etc.. then, just like anyone else, theyre unhirable.

-Andy has convinced himself that someone planted questions at qb club based on his stupidity. Either he isn't a qb club member so just doesnt know, or he's completely narcissistic and wrong. What did happen is basically the first several points bobby made, as well as the first few questions TOTALLY contradicted his negative/ stupid viewpoints, which i did find funny. Once again, Andy Schmidt is totally wrong.

Lastly, I love egriz. Several awesome posters, some funny ones, some shit talkers, probably some burner accts. Ect. Its classic stuff, and really no different from the more mainstream social media platforms. There may be a bit less vitriol if everyone's actual name was in the profile, but maybe less fun.

Its easy to discern the good posters from the bad, the smart from the dumb, and the knowledgeable from the clueless. Ive enjoyed being here, as a reasonably new poster! Thank you all for the entertainment.

You seem to think I am responding to you personally. I just asked chat GPT to profile your posts and have been adding to the profile every time you respond (like I'll do with this one). Literally just cutting and pasting what you wrote. Don't shoot the messenger here buddy, take it up with Sam Altman if you don't like what it's saying about you.

Those new posts show a sharp defensive swing into absolute certainty, hostility, and dominance language. The repeated claims of having no insecurity, paired with accusations that others are jealous or threatened, suggest reactive defensiveness rather than genuine confidence. The insults and keyboard warrior framing indicate a need to reassert control and superiority when the ego feels challenged. The tone shows brittle self esteem, where disagreement is met with aggression instead of reflection. A psychologist would likely view this as classic defensive posturing meant to protect a vulnerable sense of self.

The scheme won’t be completely new. Just adjustments able to be used by Loud’s return. Look at the difference from his return last week. And an adjustment prevent some if Larson’s runs. Baer has made adjustments his whole career T Hauck was main D brain. Not Bradford.

You obviously don’t understand D. Your 2d is mostly wrong.

The Cat RB’s had little yardage and success. Got yardage on last drive. Yardage came from QB running and passing. QB isn’t going to throw for 90% again. And, again, Loud back.

Again, the QB is not going to run wild against new scheme.

The Griz lines gained confidence against SDSU. They will push the Cat lines around.

Griz clobbered SDSU. Cats lost to them in Bozeman. Cats barely beat Yale. And lost confidence. Griz will beat Cats.

If you are even using AI, and I doubt it, AI is manipulated by the questions presented. You just said you cut and pasted and edited. I am 100% confident. That’s part of why I have done well in life. If I had a psychologist, he would agree with me. You are a coward.

Hoops is one of the best posters on here... knowledgeable and clued in to the griz program, but also one of the best smack talkers. Its hilarious.

AI cant discern hes talking smack, you do realize that I'm sure?
Dont really care. I gave it what he typed. He is becoming more frustrated and getting more personal by the post and its quickly becoming less message board fodder and more himself. The whole "this is only my online persona" is just his way over covering up his behavior for those that know his real identity. Only so much you can do to cover up who you really are, and he does it a lot worse than he thinks he does.

This is also providing me and others with a great amount of entertainment as he is so easily baited. One might call it beating him at his own game.

I dont think its his online persona at all, and I don't think youre beating him much at anything. I know hoops, I dont know you. Hoops is a highly successful dude who has a great life. You may as well, too, I dont know. But I wouldn't say the current dialogue here is you beating him at anything.
