For those of you who have been and are going this year to Spokane, is there a certain place where Griz fans meet to tailgate? I have a friend in Spokane who is going to reserve a tailgate spot for me so we can get a lot of griz fans together before the night game. Thank you!

Tailgating at Eastern Wash

In year's past, the GSA and UMAA have held their tailgate at Sutton Park, which is 5 or 6 blocks south of the red abomination. I don't know much about their actual tailgating areas, but they're pretty limited.
Games at Cheney Normal School are difficult for meet-ups the night before games, because there's no bars there, and no one stays in Cheney. So everyone is spread out all over Spokane.

Tailgating sucks at Ewu. Griz tailgates are 5 blocks away. Nowhere to stay, eat or drink in Cheney. Also keep your head on a swivel in the stands…pretty common to have things thrown in your direction. Also be careful on the walk to and from the game as you pass by student homes with parties…they will harass you and your family as you walk past for sure.

The Griz tailgate is pushed several blocks away (agreed it sucks) but the main tailgate scene is pretty good. It’s not Missoula but the tailgating is much improved the past few years. Get a spot in one of the main parking lots if ya can, there will be plenty of Griz fans or welcoming ewu fans for any visitors
