As a guy rehabbing a dislocated shoulder, can confirm.Mich Griz said:That's a tough injury to rehab. A knee is a hinge that goes on a single plane (hopefully) back and forth. The shoulder goes in almost 360 degrees while the arm rotaes thumbs up or thumbs down and everything in between. He's a gifted player. There's no need to rush things. I wish him the best 364 days a year.![]()
Mich Griz said:I've rehabbed my right one twice and my left one once. Plus I had both knees replaced. I've had 23 surgeries total. I played for the Griz in the 70's and graduated with only minor injuries. A lot of people ask me if I regrated playing football. I tell them hell no I'd play again in a heart beat if I was young, fit and in one piece. Great memories of being a Griz. Plus the older I get the better I was. Strange how that is. One of my shoulder injuries was when I hit a deer on a bicycle. That hurt.![]()

it's important to know that a separated shoulder and a dislocated shoulder are two very different things. I am shocked that a separated shoulder this far away from the season would keep him out of next season. that seems odd. as hoops said, 6 weeks or less is usually about the time frame for it to heal (although some never "heal" in their original position) to the point you can resume activity. very common injury with football players, mountain bikers, motocross, and bulldoggers.
