On the surface, I read it exactly how he stated it. Which is why I got fired up. It made it sound like he was saying there were much better options than Zikmund and that the Griz chose poorly. That’s how he stated it in black-and-white. I’m not quite sure how to interpret it differently. I will give him the benefit of the doubt if he says that was not his intent.

I think the poster was trying to say that BG had “options” on how to post and BG “chose poorly”. Context was lost, I think, because I definitely thought he meant UM chose poorly by signing Zikmund. 😂

Well, you gotta defend those trophies from last year. The thing about wins in sports is that everything changes at 00:01 the next day. Then everyone becomes has-beens again. MSU is a has been. They won the national championship, but they haven't defended that championship yet.

I've never claimed to be a cunning linguist.

Again, I really like Zikmund as a player and wish MSU had offered even if we didn't have a shot at him.
