Did ESPN skip completely over Holmes' pick? They talked about the German guy, then skipped straight to Keenan Reynolds....no mention of Holmes. Or did I miss something?
You're right. Tyrone got the heavy, hard one from espn... :egriz:

And by the nfl network. I was flipping between them. He got shafted...when you're between the first German league player and the other from navy, he had no shot!
Drafted before Cowser and Sanderland. All is right in the world.
and lil shooter too!

Who are Cowper and Sanderslent?

Mr. Holmes will have a great head coach in Gus Bradley. NDSU alumnus and starting safety on the 1988 national championship team. Was on the coaching staff for many years. Excellent defensive coach and a really great guy.

Jags also took a DE in the 3d and DT in the 4th, or vice versa. I'm not so sure the Jags are a good place for the Griz guys.
Who cares....he got drafted so that means there are expectations for him. Besides, how does a DT affect Holmes standing? Your negativity on this topic is curious but not unexpected.

Congrats to Holmes. He will like Gus.
I spoke to a couple NDSU o-lineman after our spring game and they raved about Tyrone. One said he is better than Emanuel.

Lots of people care about who else the Jags drafted, and certainly the Jag players and draftees care.

Who said a DT affects his standing? I mentioned, in a couple posts, some of the defensive players they drafted. Obviously, the Jags focused on defensive players in this draft.

I stand by my belief that the Jags, who took a top linebacker in the second round (and without his injury, some thought he'd be a top 5 pick) and a top round DE, may impact the Tripp and Holmes. Do you think they didn't notice the high round picks in their positions?

Sorry, but listing who the Jags picked in higher rounds, and stating that the Jags may not be a good place for the Griz, is not being negative. It is an observation and realistic. No one on egriz has supported more players more than I have over the years.

Brew, you truly are an idiot.

I like how quickly you get defensive.

I watched the whole boring show. They came back later in the 7th round and apologized to Holmes. Can't remember which one, but a commentator then mentioned Holmes impressive play at the Liberty game.

I was hoping they'd mention how Holmes beat an OL drafted before him to sack a QB drafted before him.

typical ebitch.com post. There is no pleasing some of you. The kid realizes a lifelong dream of getting drafted in the NFL and some of you are bitching that he didn't get a meaningless 15 second video spot on ESPN. I'm sure Tyrone is on cloud nine tonight and couldn't care less. He could have gone #1 overall and some of you would have found something to bitch about.

If I'm not mistaken, they were a soft rock duo in the 1970's.

I know for my own thoughts, when a Griz is drafted or signs with a team, after getting excited for him and adding the team to my team stream, I look to see who their competition is. It's not that I don't think they can't beat anyone out cus I have that faith in most of them. I just want the knowledge to know how tuff their competition is.

In any event I doubt Holmes reads any of our junk on Egriz and I am very glad he got picked. The point is he now has a chance to play, make a few dollars and move to another team if this one does not pan out.
T. Holmes is happy, I'm happy.... so who gives a rats ass about others?

Haha! I think that's right. They had some pretty good hits, but when they came out talking shit about Steely Dan, I had to draw the line.

Yes, typical egriz...bitching about someone else bitching. We are all extatic that Holmes was drafted. We are also fans waiting for his name to be called to see that 15 second video spot of a sack on the number 2 draft pick. Im sure he had numerous people watching with him, had the dvr on, and nobody saw anything. I'm not sure why everyone on here has to be such a douche about crap. Some arguing with themselves with multiple accounts, some think they are more important then everyone, and some are "in the know". Such assclownery.
