Swinging Door in Spokane-Not a Griz Bar

Well if Sluggers in Kirkland gave up on us after 12 years I guess the SD can follow suit as well.

Poole's public house and red lion BBQ are the places to go....unless you drive about 70 miles North. Then the place to be is my house.

The doors is still a Griz bar, but nothing like what it used to be. Agree that on the south side, Pooles is now the place.

" Swinging Door"???? Sounds like a gay bar to me, so we are glad they are not a Griz bar.

Thus comment certainly does not reflect the views of the many Griz fans I know. I'm proud to be from such a diverse and tolerant community.

He's old, racist, band and from Ohio.

I really don't know which of those characteristics is worst?

A few are redundant.

New ownership? I went there for a few games in 2012, including the USD game which was only broadcast locally in MT.

Pretty sure Everett is correct, Swinging Doors is still a griz bar but they are going to now host some EWU and WSU parties as well.

Capones in CDA/Post Falls is a pretty good griz bar if you are in the area...

Locations outside of Montana used to require expensive, specialized FTA satellite equipment and a willingness to dial in satellite coordinates every week to show the games. Now most of the games are available on Direct TV or through the internet. Anyone who wants to watch a Griz game out of state can watch at home or go to most bars and see the games. I think that has watered down the old school Griz bars around the country. Claudia's in Portland has suffered the same fate.

It's still a Griz bar. There are other bars showing games now though, so less people have to travel to the north side. There are bars in the valley, south hill, Liberty Lake, Idaho, and I've heard downtown that show the games. I like the doors, but seats are hard to come by at times

You used to have to call ahead or go in and reserve a seat to get a decent one. They even had a table chart that you could pick where you wanted if you were early enough. Every large TV and the projection one were ALWAYS set to the Griz game no matter who was playing. Trust me, ewu and cougar fans hated it.
