"The contract, which went into effect Wednesday, will pay Vigen a base salary of $295,000, with annual $50,000 retention bonuses paid each July 1. He'll also earn $80,000 for his radio/TV appearances and $30,000 for public appearances such as fundraising, booster functions and public speaking on behalf of the university. Vigen's previous deal, signed in 2023, placed his base salary just shy of $215,000."

Hauck's contract from a year ago:

"Hauck's new contract went into effect on January 1 of 2024. The contract, which expires on January 31 of 2027, includes an increase in base salary from $221,813 to $265,000. He will receive a $50,000 retention bonus each April 1 that he remains the head coach at his alma mater, including on April 1 of this year."

I thought someone said his new contract was doubling Hauck’s.
If anybody said that, they don't have an understanding of how contracts work for coaches of the three major sports at both schools. Either an MSU or UM football/mbball/wbball gets a new contract and that typically acts as the baseline for the next head coach in that sport. The only time I can think of it not working like that was Tricia Binford got a huge raise and Montana didn't use it as the baseline for the Shannon Schweyen contract

Ya it was a scat fan or a Bobby hater talkin sh it. Anyone who has paid any attention to how the Griz’s contracts have gone through the years should know that both schools essentially pay the same.

Mr. Hoops,
I have know doubt that you have been very successful in your career., you boost about it often. In a town of 70,000 an intelligent person can thrive and believe that they are amazing, you obviously think very highly of yourself. I am not sure what years you played for Dartmouth but they did have some very successful years between 1969 to 1972 I will also add 1973.
Yes I went to a state university for undergraduate studies. One of my best friends from graduate school is a Dartmouth alumnus. I was in his wedding and he was in mine. During grad school I always scored higher grades than he did, in every class we took together. You brag about all your friends, one of my very good friends from graduate school, well his grandfather started a business that you know. There logo is a bullseye, granted Target Corporation is not as big as Walmart but it is a pretty big company.

I never stated I was quitting I just said I was no longer interested in the back and forth with you when you are unable to acknowledge when you have stated something incorrect or that you were wrong.

There are people on this board that have come to your defense in stating that IRL you are a good person. I don’t doubt that for a minute.

On this board you don’t display someone that is humble and honest.

I am not going to get into a an exchange with you about whose back account is larger.

If you want to get into the X and O’s of a game I will gladly visit with you about any game. Let’s make it fair, we will not use a Big Sky Conference game or a Big Ten game. Pick a Sun Belt, MAC or a Conference USA game. Your choice of game and let’s breakdown film for one quarter.

With your superior knowledge of both football and grammar you will certainly be able to teach me and everyone else who views this board a lesson.

I know you want me off this board because I have pointed out things that you have stated incorrectly. You threatened me by saying you should share my statements about a player, stating I said that I knew him. To quote a line you use often, “show me where I said/ stated that”, I did give statistics on how inept the Griz online has been over the past several years in blocking for Gilman, but I never said that I knew him or his family. I did say something along the lines that it would be nice to see him back in Minnesota to finish his career.

If I have made a mistake, I will certainly own it, something that, at least your online persona, is unable to do or acknowledge.

Also instead of informing others that they don’t know the game and have never played it, share your experience and knowledge.

Share things like the opposing teams right guard has his off hand and forearm above or in front of his knee when he is run blocking. When he sets up for a pass rush his off hand and arm are above his thigh.

My dad and mom are in Australia and SE Asia for the month. Yes, he was an all-Ivy and all-New England player on those great Dartmouth teams. His senior class is the winningest class in Dartmouth football history. He has an incredible amount of good and interesting friends and acquaintances acquired on the years. It seems that most everyone whom he ran across remembered and liked him due to his unique and interesting background and friendly outgoing personality. He likes to support the Griz and have fun with posters on egriz. He knows a huge amount of people associated with Griz football in the past 3 decades. Many of them are his good friends. He’s been generous to people and was the largest financial supporter of the UM cheer and dance teams for many years. He was a long-time partner in the largest law firm in Minneapolis, and likes to say his partners included Walter Mondale and Amy Klobuchar. He started in a top NYC law firm too. Missoula metro population is about 130,000. He laughs at how many posters get worked up by what he says or how he posts, and is surprised by how many people seem to read and remember what he posts. Watch for him at the Australian Open (or Bail, Singapore or Thailand). He’ll be the one having the most fun.

.....and your Dad got banned from a goofy little message board about lower level college football that he spends endless hours puffing his fat chest out to no one who cares while usually acting like a complete idiot.

Was April Fools Day selected for a reason???? Asking for a friend

MNFan, They're is know doubt your in need of proof reader. Actually I'm joking, my grammar/spelling sucks. But I do want to comment on Hoop's mastery over quite a few people on this board. He is like a puppet master in getting people to respond to some of his posts and EverettGriz is right. Side note: I was cheering for the cats, especially TM. Go Griz
