The other day I was randomly thinking about the fact it seemed like whenever Sulser touched the ball, he either scored a TD or had an explosive play. So I just checked his final stats:
He played in 9 games:
- had 4 carries for 133 yds (33 ypc) and 1 TD
- had 9 receptions for 114 (12.7 ypc) and 3 TDs
So he touched the ball 13 times total and scored 4 TDs....that’s scoring a TD 31% of the time you touch the ball. That is insane production!
To put it in perspective, Sammy Akem who also had incredible production and led the Big Sky in TDs and was one of the highest nationally....he had 59 catches and 13 TDs....that’s scoring a TD 22% of the time you touch the ball.
Sulser is a special player and so is Sammy. Gonna be exciting seeing what these guys do in the future!
