A similar thing happened with Bruce Collins. There was a zero tolerance thing going on at the time.
Okay, my last comments on this issue.
I did not know that Micheal Ray was NOT in the Big Sky Hall of Fame, for the simple reason I don't CARE about the Big Sky Conference or the Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame.
That's why I have not awakened every morning for the past half century wondering why Michael Ray was NOT in the Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame.
When it came to my attention, it gave me yet another excuse to blast a Conference that is second rate and exists only because of three schools, us, the Bobs and Weber, all of whom should have aspired to more, as did Gonzaga, Nevada and Boise State.
As to the suggestion it was because of race, I deny that emphatically. (Michael Ray's drug use may have been an issue but the more enlightened among us realize drug addiction is a medical issue, not a crime.)
God knows, any list of the greatest basketball players of the last 75 years, either pro or collegiate, would be dominated by Black players, as even the Big Sky Conference understands.
Only the Lady Griz have not got the message.
