Correct. My guess on "conditional" is that you accept the offer before we fill it with someone else.

Not to get into a petty argument or anything, and I've appreciated our conversations, but couldn't this same logic apply to the players that you are bothered about MSU getting and not UM? If we are saying "well, we can't know that the Arizona, San Diego State, Hawaii, Nevada, San Jose State, UNLV, and Wazzou all made full, non-conditional offers, so I will assume it isn't a true head to head recruiting victory," then perhaps we weren't offering the full rides to players MSU landed, so it wasn't really an apples to apples recruiting victory when they get someone over UM?
Or, maybe after he didn't get the offer he really wanted more than anything, from Oregon State, he was won over by our staff making a pitch that he could go FBS and sit, or come here and compete for a chance to get on the field as a freshman/sophomore and get enough looks to move up to the FBS with a higher profile.
The truth is, we don't know. The only data points we have are public offers, so that's really all we can utilize. This kid had a stack of them from the FBS and the Big Sky. He chose Montana.
EG googles "labubus"....I heard he got into some trouble with sanctions after handing out Labubus to lure them away from their commitments to the Blue Bombers.
A thorough AYSO 6U investigation following my departure confirmed that I had no direct knowledge of any payments, in-kind or otherwise, to athletes during my tenure with the program.I heard he got into some trouble with sanctions after handing out Labubus to lure them away from their commitments to the Blue Bombers.

The AYSO should’ve spent its time looking into the full-size lunchables (with capri suns) that the Teal Tigers players were getting for routine after game snacks. Oh, and don’t get me started with their players flaunting their Robux accounts during recess during their championship run. Hmm, interesting stuff, Teal Tiger$.
Welcome to Griz Nation, Jayden and family. You are going to love being a Griz!
Or he connected with Coach McCloud on a level that no other coach did or could.Hi. Really good pickup!
More than likely the WSU and Arizona offers were conditional offers that are no longer there. A very optimistic person can think that UM is beating out Arizona for recruits, but I prefer to stay realistic. Regardless, he looks like a very good player and a very good recruiting win.
Yep. Once kids start committing, offers to uncommitted kids dry up all the time.Okay. So, that’s a real offer but doesn’t last forever. Very common is my understanding . Thx.
The McManus reference had me cackling! One of my favorite books was “They Shoot Canoes, Don’t They?” Blast from my childhood past.Which kind of makes me question how they managed to land him against all those FBS schools. But as Patrick McManus says, Never Sniff a Gift Fish! Here's hoping we keep him committed.
Since this type of conditional offer is common, why even mention it? Most offers are conditional in some respects.Yep. Once kids start committing, offers to uncommitted kids dry up all the time.
Not sure why being realistic is “negative”?Hi. Really good pickup!

Because people are saying they are "realistic" when in fact they are just being negative and trying to hide behind being realistic. They aren't; they are being negative. It doesn't surprise me that you say you don't understand because you do this frequently. And you don't understand the game either. Not sure why being realistic is “negative”?
It is negativity when the person doesn't agree. Not sure why being realistic is “negative”?
Were you being "negative" or "realistic " when you made the bold claim "things are not looking great" in early June?Sure. That’s the very optimistic, positive, way to view it.
Pessimists see their negative point of view as neutral. By his nature, he can't see or accede to your point, even though it is obvious to virtually the rest of egriz. Were you being "negative" or "realistic " when you made the bold claim "things are not looking great" in early June?
Nope. Not true. You two try to cover up being negative by claiming to be realistic. You and others have been doing this for years. It is negativity when the person doesn't agree.
I second your statement. The Griz are going to win the conference and go to the national championship. I am being realistic.
