Patten, Stuckey earn AP honor
OGDEN, Utah - Weber State forward David Patten and Eastern Washington wing Rodney Stuckey have garnered honorable mention honors on the Associated Press All-America men’s basketball team announced Monday.
It was the second year in a row for Stuckey.
The team consisted of five first-team players, five second-team players, five third-team players and 48 honorable mention picks.
Patten, a senior, was the Big Sky Conference regular-season and postseason most valuable player after guiding WSU to the regular-season co-championship and the postseason title. He averaged 14.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 53.4 percent from the field.
Stuckey, a sophomore, led the Big Sky in scoring at 24.6 points per game, was second in assists with 5.52 per game and steals with 2.45 per game.
Stuckey was one of 16 players named to the Collegeinsider.com All-America team.
