One fan who knows football and Griz football thought the last one who led the Griz to a title game did.

I thought the Griz lines were less physical on both sides than the team that won that title game.

I thought our front seven were holding its own until Hayden Harris was injured. Rabbits had a hard time running the ball until that happened.

I was traveling from AZ for the games, and made the mistake of coming up for the SFA playoff game, missed the App State game, and then went to Chatty for the Nova game. Ugh.

But what I'm left with is... the very visceral, bone chilling 2007 memory of standing in my 4th row seat, section 126, watching as Dan Carpenter missed the field goal against Wofford. Right in front of me. Thanks for bringing THAT up.

I actually disagree with a lot of the facts as you laid them out. Him being "the biggest troll on the board" is just wildly inaccurate. As is your statement that he constantly talks shit about the Griz, as he most certainly does not. I've never heard him say Choate is the greatest BSC coach ever, and in fact on the last GFP he was on I seem to remember him admitting that he was wrong to put Choate at the level he had been putting him. To be honest, I question if you even listen to his shows at this point? What you are saying is just factually inaccurate.

Schmidt absolutely does not talk shit about the Griz all the time, and I question how much of "talking schmidt" you have listened to if that is your opinion. Like I said, go over to Bobcat Nation and they complain about Colter having such a Griz homer on there. Schmidt's having an ax to grind with Bobby is something neither of us could ever know, but based on Schmidt's discussion of his actual conversations with Bobby I don't feel that is the case.

Yes, I absolutely spent some time making the case that Schmidt's recruiting take was wrong and too narrowly argued. I have no problem delineating between a debate of perspective and him as a person without it clouding over every other positive thing Schmidt has said about Bobby or the Griz.

You're right, it is your prerogative and your opinion. I've always appreciated you on here. I just vehemently disagree with the points you made and, yes, how you said them.

This is complete and utter bullshit and you completely don't get his point. He isn't a Hauck stroker like hoops and his minions, but does have a good relationship with Bobby. He will and has admitted that he wasn't on the same talent level as the top backs when he was a Griz.

He has very publicly admitted that, and seems to hold zero ill will about backing up Chase. Schmidt literally refers to himself as "Your Favorite Backup RB."

I think his scenario was 1-1 when in attendance and 1-0 when not. Not sure that is the type of info that would be beneficial in your scenario.
