Stop complaining about the OL and give them some love

So you would rather talk about everything great and ignore weaknesses. Boring! That makes absolutely no sense. No team or organization uses that recipe to grow, proposer and win. Imagine Apple if they just focused on everything they were doing well. Constructive criticism (not all on Egriz is) is essential for getting better. I assume the coaches focus on the positive and identify weaknesses. Then they coach to it. Fans on a board talking about perceived weaknesses is part of the purpose of a fan board. Lastly, if you are married - try telling your wife all the things you kick ass at and that’s what she needs to focus on. I am sure that will work out great for you! By the way, I certainly am no expert on football or marriage. I respect that your opinion is different. I just happen to disagree with it.
There is a business philosophy to focus on your strengths and make them exceptional rather than working on your weaknesses to make them mediocre. Then take the exceptionalism and expand it into new markets.
And yet lost via the triple option wofford terriers and a missed field goal at the buzzer by their nfl bound kicker.
Triple option, you don't say. Hmmm....

I believe the offensive line is improving and will continue to improve. Big Sky Conference stats to date provide supporting evidence of a solid contributing offensive line:

Total Scoring #1
Total Offense #1
Rushing Yards #3
Passing Yards #2
First Downs #1
Third Down Conversion #2
Forth Down Conversion #1

The offensive line, AND tight-ends by the way, are solid and will get even better. This is a Championship caliber team and I look forward to seeing there best game on Friday night. Go Griz!

The offensive plays being executed can hide weaknesses. That's what great tactical coaches do really, really well - use your strengths to hide your weaknesses and exploit the opponent's weaknesses. With that said, IMO, our TE and WR blocking are an area of strength.

Lets GO! You're spot on. Ian Finch is an absolute DUDE in the WR blocking game, what an asset to the squad. Schaeffer is punishing in the run game as well, and hope we get him the ball in space more and beg secondary guys to try and tackle him.

The best is yet to come with this o line group, yet they're fairly accomplished already this season with the rankings you list above. Time to go down to sac lay the hammer 🔨

Again, #3 rush offense in the conference and #1 overall doesn't suggest a weakness at the o line position, but in general totally agree w you. And the TE & perimeter blocking game is phenomenal!

Seeing the stats laid out it’s hard not to be excited about this offense. Ah Yat is the best QB we’ve had since Jordan Johnson IMO. We’ve got arguably the best RB in program history. Wortham is electric. Deck, bohannon, deaver and now Hendrix make up a sweet receiving corp. It’s a pretty electric unit for sure

Which back is better than Yo, Lex, or Chase?

If Eli had those Olines from those years he would be an absolute monster. Not that he isn’t already, I just think with those lines his numbers would be ridiculous. Our RBs also didn’t share carries back them like they do now.
He doesn't have the instincts of those backs. Go back and watch Chase in the semi-final game against App State. He made the o-line look all-world.

Bullshit. ^^this guy is the biggest troll on egriz and that’s really saying something. Pickle ain’t got nothing on him. It’s literally his business model. How do you drive clicks from Griz fans? Easy—talk shit about them and The Griz. Haley and Herder have been doing it for years. So does he.
^^this guy advertises a pod to investigate MSdui but flips the script to say Griz fans have a loser mentality. He hires a Bozeman native to “talk Schmidt” about the Griz with extreme negativity and a back ground that says “controversy creates cash”. They are not even trying to hide it anymore.
He literally thinks choach is the greatest bsc coach ever even tho choach barely had a winning record and benefited from the worst period of modern Griz football and is now the definition of the Peter principle. Don’t believe he’s a troll? How do you drive clicks from bubcat fans? Well, it’s basically the opposite of The Griz model. They are so insecure, you have to constantly tell them how awesome they are which is exactly what he does. He hired tom stuber for fuck’s sake. And they fawn over the bubs, nothing is ever wrong, but The Griz are never good enough. That’s what trolls do—say dumb shit to get attention.
Colter and Brooks are some of my best friends, I don't agree hes a troll at all (or at least no more than me to some of you ;)) , in fact I think the work they do with skyline is incredible for the Montana schools. When we're amongst friends and on the golf course, I do pitch him shit for his yellow and blue colored glasses ;), but the truth is they call it as they see it, and they've developed a great lineup of content each week for all of us to consume as we want. The coverage our student athletes get is the envy of all the other big sky schools and the skyline boys have a huge part in that.

Beyond the work they do for the Montana schools and big sky in general, the exposure they give Montana high school athletes is phenomenal, and it fills a void created by the anemic coverage nowadays from the missoulian. Skyline rocks! 💪💪🙌

💯 were so lucky to have the coverage that we do, the bulk of which is thanks to colter and company. And you’re right to point out that he platforms other big sky squads too. Hell he’s got an entire segment each week dedicated to Idaho. He interviews players and coaches every week from our opponents. He also gives a voice to high school players and coaches throughout the state. Excellent unbiased content.

Nick and homegrown, those things are not mutually exclusive. The guy can be a good dude who provides lots of content around the area and also has a business model that disses The Griz while blowing smoke up the ass of bubs. He can be both.
What part of my post was wrong? Looks like you guys even agree with me (“blue colored glasses” and “right to a point”).
Seems like you just don’t agree with the word “troll”. Okay. Do you have a better name for someone on the internet who says stuff for attention?

Dude, you obviously don't listen to and read all of his stuff. I usually find you enjoyable, but this weird obsession some of you have of his coverage of the MSU DUI scandal is getting ridiculous.

Schmidt is a LITERAL Montana Grizzly, and I would imagine he wore a jersey and bled for the team one or two more times than you did.

If you go over to Bobcat Nation, they ALSO bitch about Schmidt's show and say Colter shouldn't have such a Griz guy on to talk about the Cats like he does. It is a schtick. It is entertainment. That is the business model, entertainment.

I will give you that having an openly biased Bobcat fan be their main Bobcat writer is head scratching, but you are really taking this too far. Colter is not at all a troll, and provide great content. If you consumed more of it, you would see that your wild tirade is just completely inaccurate.

They're smart dudes who've created a great business model with their platform and content, certainly relative the current media landscape. I don't have to agree with everything thats said to acknowledge their effort level and work ethic. Their varoous pods have been PROMINANTLY harsh on the cats at times, including this year. I dont have the time or care to actually decipher the definite airtime for each team and positive or negative, but I'd bet its negligible, honestly.

I just hate mostly that the cats love to lap up all the attention they can get outta them on this side of the state, and we don't have a comparison on that side of the state! The bozeman chronical and whoever else covers the cats and msunin general over there is as close to state media as gets. The entire university gets scrutinized basically zero. Meanwhile, we have our media landscape over here that truly has built a business model of being harsh. The Missoulian.

TomCat is a total tool. I also share that directly with colter 🤣 but actually, I dont know the guy, he may be great in person. But the way he covers msu is even more so state media

Mediocrity is not accepted by anyone on egriz, to my knowledge.
Then criticism is needed and should be accepted...I agree that harsh criticism by the armchair QBs does no good and have stated that over and over again! Hoops is so senile he is arguing with folks agreeing with him!

Then criticism is needed and should be accepted...
Criticism is needed now more than ever. This team, for all its talented players, has underwhelmed the fanbase. Clawing back in games it should have dominated has been heralded at a sign of a great team. IF they were a great team, they never would have needed to 'claw back.' Look at the caliber of the teams played. Griz seem to play down to that level, or is it the level of the Griz? Trying to figure out what is going on is pointless. Bobby, true to form, says nothing, at least to us non-QB Club peons. Can't really blame him, though. That's his edge. If they can't get it together down this home stretch, the playoffs will be a disaster. But, that's just my opinion.
